Now that the Lady Bears have completed 5 games, I thought I would post the stats that I have figured thus far:

Of our five starters, three are averaging double points per game (Sophia-21.4, Abi-11.6, and Angela-18.2) with one almost there (Latoya-9.6).

Sophia leads the team in the paint, with 9.2-14.2 field goals per game for a team-leading 64%. Angela Tisdale (6-11.8/50.8%) and Abiola Wabara (4.8-8.4/57.1%) are the only other two players averaging over 50%.

When it comes to 3 pointers, Chameka leads the team with 9, but Jhasmin leads the team by hitting every 3 pointer she's attempted (one for one in one game). Second best, percentage-wise, is Latoya Wyatt with 47% (8-17).

On the line, Angela Tisdale averages the most free throws per game (5.2-6.4). Her free throw percentage (81.3%) is bested only by Jordan Davis, who averages one trip and one bucket per game. Other players above 70% include Rachel Allison (3.6-4.6/78.3%) and Latoya Wyatt (1.8-2.4/75%).

The lead rebounders are Abiola Wabara (3.4 off) and Sophia Young (9.8 deff/12.8 tot). Sophia is averaging over 10 boards per game (12.8) while Abiola is not too far behind with 8 per game.

Angela Tisdale leads the team in assists (6.8 per game) and steals (2.4 per game) but also in turnovers (2.6 per game). Sohpia and Abiola are tied with the most blocks per game at 1.2.

Lastly, only two starters are averaging more than 30 minutes per game: Sophia with 34.8 and Angela with 33.4. Abiola (28.6), Chameka (27.8), and Latoya (27.2), are averaging between 25-30. The freshman are averaging 9.2 mintues of playing time, with Rachel Allison being the only freshman averaging double digits at 13.

I hope you all find these stats as interesting as I have. If you want any stats I may have missed, let me know and I'll try to complie them (sorry, but Lady Bears only ;))

BroLewis, thanks for posting this re-cap. The stats are interesting. A few expected and a few surprises. I appreciate your talents in updating these! :)

During yesterday's game, Randy Robertson endorsed the idea of keeping track of tie-ups. Rachel Allison would certainly be #1 in that statistic! :D

No doubt. Rachel Allison has to be one of the best defensive players we have, second only to Abi in my book, and she leads in categories that unfortunately do not translate to hard stats, like tie-ups, gusto, block-outs, bending over backwards to get those boards, and such. And to think, she's only a freshman... I'm glad she's on our team.
