These polls confuse me. Shouldn't teams that finished below others in their conference be ranked below them? Shouldn't KSU be ranked ahead of Texas? Shouldn't ISU be ranked below Texas? It seems too many people are just gonna vote for the same old teams regardless.

How about Tenn being at #6. It's good to see them not in the top 5. LA Tech still being in the top 10 is a sham.

I think it depends on what a team does week to week......these poll voters probably have no idea how a conference shakes out.
I'm really, really surprised that Tennessee fell to #6, I thought they would switch with OU (again).....but Duke has slipped into the Top 5 picture.

Yeah, the voters have a short memory.
Texas has come on strong as of late, ie the wins vs. TN and OU, so that's what they see. Plus, KSU had the bad loss to CU more recently.
I'm surprised Duke has slipped into where they did, and I'm also surprised that TN dropped to 6.

swok and Jennifer I'm surprised also, and I'm even more surprised given the changes, that the top nine are the same in both polls. Go figure! I wonder if maybe UT east is in trouble for a #1 NCAA seed? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif I can hope.

I wish Tenn wasn't given any more motivation than they already have. I've enjoyed their inconsistent performances. If memory serves, the last time they didn't finish in the top 5, they won an NC.
It's also nice to see them getting a little less favoritism from officials. Hope that trend continues.

I think OU would have to lose on Wednesday, first round for them to blow a number one seed to Tenn---and should also be the same for a them to get the #1 ahead of Duke.

please, please give Tennessee the #1 seed......
who want's them to be a #2 in their region????
I really think OU is okay so long as they win the first game and are in the semi's. Though just being in the championship game would probably seal it for them. I've thought the last 2 weeks that they don't need to win the last game, now I feel even more that way....given the losses of Tennessee, Stanford, and Purdue.
