They were due.

My hosting analysis, which will be posted either later tonight or tomorrow morning, will bear that out.

Right now, it is pretty clear that the Big 12 was indeed the best conference this year.

As if we needed convincing.

ANd Pat Summitt isn't happy about the officiating:

"Tennessee coach Pat Summitt wouldn't change a thing about they way her Lady Vols played Saturday night. Unfortunately, she didn't have a say in the officiating.

Fourth-seeded LSU went 25-of-29 from the free-throw line and upset the third-ranked Lady Vols 81-80 in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament. It was Tennessee's first loss to an unranked team since losing to Auburn in the semifinals of the SEC tournament on March 2, 1997 -- exactly five years ago.

Tennessee went 17-of-18 at the foul line, and Summitt wasn't very happy with the discrepancy.

"We just didn't get the calls," Summitt said. "From a coach's standpoint, watching was very disappointing.""

Ok...Ms. Summit! So it was ok when in 2000 your team went 16-24 from the line and Texas Tech was 1-4??? Talk about discrepancy! I just don't get these coaches that complain about "not getting the calls." http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/rolleyes.gif

Come on...they're Tennessee...they expect to get the calls http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

I listened to the Vandy broadcast last night and they of course thought Tennessee "got" everything they deserved.

So what's new? Summitt never accepts any responsibility after a loss, and is rarely gracious in defeat.
