Been doing some reading.
Some people seem to think TN will still get a #1 Seed. Some people also think they still deserve a #1 seed because they have the #1 RPI.
Let's see, they are 7-3 over last 10 games, and have had some close ones in there. THey lost to unranked LSU neutral court, Top 15 Texas at home, and Top 7 (?) or so Vandy.

I think that IF Purdue, Stanford, Duke, Vandy, and OU win out that is should go like this (in order of 'strength' of seed).
1 UConn (East) 2 Duke
1 OU (Mideast) 2 Tennessee
1 Vandy (Midwest) 2 Baylor (assuming they make finals)
1 Purdue (West) 2 Stanford

You won't have Tn/Vandy in same region. Uconn and TN fans would cry if they were in the same region. Stanford will stay out west, though wouldn't it be funny to see them as the 2 in Uconn's region? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Won't happen though. I could see Purdue/Stanford easily being switched in above scenario, because Stanford only has 1 loss against a schedule of mostly poor teams. I could see Baylor matching up very well w/ Vandy. Vandy's guards are good, but not particularly fast. Lambert would have a field day against them. THe inside match-up might be tough, with Anderson and Zuzi, but I think they could contain one of them. ANyhow, just a restless night's thoughts...I'm signing out now.

Here's an interesting write-up, I actually trust this RPI guy...
and don't even visit the womenscollegehoops page anymore......
though this was probably written prior to the Tennessee loss, I think Tennessee is still ok at #1.........they still sit #1 RPI and #1 SOS, not sure how you would justify taking away....though they will perhaps have the weakest of the #1 seeds. I'm still in favor of sending Tennessee to Ames, Iowa and Oklahoma to Milwaukee.

First off, I apologize for not writing as much on this site as you're used to seeing. The forces of evil have been particularly busy in February and my time was much more limited than usual.

Connecticut, Tennessee and Oklahoma have positioned themselves as solid #1 seeds. The fourth one appears to come down to Stanford, Duke and Purdue.

Stanford is a gaudy 28-1, but has played a weaker schedule that Purdue and Duke, due to the down year in the Pac 10. Nevertheless, the do have six top 50 wins, only one of which came at home and their only loss was a six-point defeat to Tennessee. Barring a bad loss in the Pac 10 tournament, the Cardinal figure to snare the fourth #1 seed. Should they fail, Duke and Purdue (in that order) would be waiting to take it from them, but would need conference tournament titles to have a shot.
