We need 146,051 to get to a million.

I have on the big 10 tournament and it looks like there is nobody there.

Hate to say it, but I think we'll come up short without ISU hosting a subregional and making it to the Midwest Region games (that's assuming we don't advance far enough in the Big 12 tourney to warrant a hosting gig). If you look at the number of people we might be able to add to our totals already (estimate a combined 50,000 for those four games), that would be enough to make it to one million. Barring a miracle finish in Kansas City (possible, tho unlikely), I don't see ISU adding any more attendance figures to the conference total this year. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/frown.gif

By the way, congrats to all the fans who helped out each school's totals this year! Special congrats to Kansas State fans who helped out the KU numbers. The KU athletic department should send every one of you a thank you note. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

Well KU was very gracious to us and they did give out free "Sunflower Showdown" tee shirts. I expect most of those went to K-State fans because the purple people were sure there early and packed around the doors at Allen Fieldhouse. It was a fun game for us. How else can you have that much fun on a Sunday afternoon for five bucks each?

CyRox,

I am going to post a comprehensive analysis of the hosting seeds sometime either a bit later tonight or early tomorrow, and you might be surprised by my findings.

Don't give up hope yet on hosting that sub.

In yesterday's mail I got my Midwest regional tickets and 1st round NCAA tickets. I hope I don't have to take the 1st round tickets back for a refund. Last I heard over 6,000 tickets have been sold for the regional.

I'm with you on that "hope". As a season ticket holder I have twelve subregional round tickets on order and I'd much rather get the tickets than get my money back. I don't think KSU is going to have too much trouble selling the tickets if we get to host and they open sales to the general public.
