Wow. That's impressive. I wish the Trib would do something like this, but I'm not counting on it.
While each of use may be able to read this article, I think that for the appreciation for women's basketball to expand there must be greater access. Winning the national championship sure helped here in Waco, but I believe that we still have a ways to go. Until we can see women's basketball get the same kind of respect as the men, there is work to be done.

hmmm, may want to visit the main page.
There are other articles available:

That's certainly better than the little article in the Oklahoman today, where the writer's focus was the two toughest posts that Courtney would have to face this year, Tiffany Jackson and Sophia Young.
Not bad, except that neither one is a post. No mention of Jessica Davenport though, who IS a post.

Very impressive. I copied it on to Word, and it was 41 pages of information.

Tennessee's Candace Parker palmed the ball as she jumped, stretched her long arm above the rim and deposited the ball in the basket.
Hundreds of fans stood and cheered the Lady Vol who could become the fourth woman to dunk in a college game.
Parker warms up with dunks for Lady Vols (http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/college_basketball/20051104-0838-bkw-tennessee-dunkingparker.html)
Tennessee coach Pat Summitt has given Parker the green light to dunk whenever it seems appropriate and would not be a risk to injury. "I just want her to play the game under control. And for her, it's much different from any player I've ever coached in that she can be flat-footed and go up and dunk. So it's not like things have to be perfect in her basketball world for her to dunk. If she goes up inside and dunks it, more power to her," Summitt said.
(posted this article here in hopes to avoid another rhubarb since she created quite a dispute last year on this forum when mentioned)

I'm not sure about the KC Star, but for a Colorado paper I can never seem to register for, it's this:
user: news@hoopscoop.net
password: hoopscoop
user: news@hoopscoop.net
password: hoopscoop
The comish has done a great job with this. I have been able to get into any newspaper web site that had an article link here in HoopScoop that required registration by using this id & pw

Thanks, swok! The suggestions worked like a charm!
And what a great article! I give it 2 THUMBS UP! (er, I would if I could remember how to use those icons. Oh well, today's Monday and it's bad pc-karma!)

Great coverage in the KCStar.
On the Sooner side - still no love for Ashley. Just a mention that she "should" contribute. Maybe this will turn out to be a really good thing. She will be our "secret" weapon. :D

Since I didn't have o-zone at the time of the game, I just watched the highlights a few minutes ago. I kept mistaking Ashley for Courtney. I somehow think that she will remain about as much of a secret as sunrise.
