I listened to the game. Baylor is the best team in the Big 12 right now. And probably the second best team in the country. Its scary what they may be on the verge of doing. Lambert is national player of the year. Look out everyone!

Congrats Lady Bears! You beat the refs (HORRENDOUS!), the raucous crowd and the #10 team in the nation! That's now 11 wins in 12 games. Depending on how we fare in KC, a 2 seed is definitely attainable.

I was listening to the game on the radio and as the clock ticked down I began to tear up. This years seniors are an amazing group. An All-American, one of the most versitile players in the country, and two practice squad players that deserve a lot of respect. I give Baylor credit for coming back to win, but I hate to see the cyclones lose on senior night.

Baylor maybe the hot team but look out for the Cyclones...It's tourney time.

Not exactly the time or place I would have predicted for Jordan Davis to throw her coming out party - on the road, in an amazingly tough place to play, against a great team.
Eight 3-pointers all year, and five tonight. Great to see her show her stuff tonight. You can never have enough weapons this time of year.

I heard Coach KMR says after the game that Jordan Davis is an extremely talented shooter and that she has been patient and knew that her time would come.

If I heard correctly, the play by play man said Baylor only had 5 turnovers in the game!?

That's how you beat ISU. Your not-as-good perimeter shooters will definitely get open shots against the ISU zone.

I was at the game. Definately a good one. Baylor slowly chipped away at the ISU lead and caught them at the end. An unlikely ball handler (Collins) with 1-3 pointer all year, hits a 3 to put Baylor up and the game away. Disappointing loss for the senior squad.

For all those who had the negative things to say about the Baylor coach after their last game, I want you to know that she showed a great deal of class in Ames. After the game, with the Iowa State team in middle court, Coach Kim went to the center of the court to talk to the seniors. Thanks coach! Definately a class act, a good coach, and a great team. Good luck in Kansas City. Maybe we will get a little revenge there.

wow, I definitely think Baylor is playing the best basketball of anyone of the Big XII.......and I really do think Sheila Lambert deserves POY for the Big XII..........just what she brings to the team is tremendous.

Kansas City must be jumping for joy welcoming all those Cyclone fans a DAY early....... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Yes, but they'll also be hoping that we don't have to LEAVE a day or three early!

Bear,

I like my Crow grilled. I'll bring the George Foreman Grill, you bring the bird http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Baylor got it done last night. Much love for that win, but now its time to go to KCMO, baby.

Last night I watched one of the most exciting women's college basketball games that I have ever seen. Iowa State played well enough to beat anyone in the country for about 37 minutes! Both teams, I believe shot over 50% from the field. Iowa State only had 13 turnovers....low for them, but still too many when Baylor had five!

Sheila Lambert is a thousand times more impressive in person that she is on highlights or on TV! If I never see her again, it will be too soon!

I also wanted to comment on KMR's actions last night. It didn't take the Ames crowd long to figure out that she is emotional, and they rode her a little bit for it. I have to admit that I watched her more than usual after last week too! Two of the seniors didn't get to play, and I saw her go over to the student trainer and apparently ask who the sr.'s were, because she talked to Ashley Homeyer first. Very impressive!

Good luck in KC Baylor!

I BELIEVE!!! (not that I'm a "born-again" Bear) I now think that Baylor is the team to beat in the Big XII Tournament...not OU. They have really "hit their stride" at the perfect time. Shooting 54% on the road? and 50% of their 3 point shots!! Wow!

It looks like the tournament will be full of really good match-ups this year. I, also, think Tech vs. Baylor in the quarterfinals could be "interesting," not to mention Colorado vs. Iowa State and TExas vs. K.State. (assuming all get to the quarters)

Thanks Chipper. What an incredible game between two great teams!

Air, I have been saying to my friends all year long that if we could just find that consistent three point threat, this is a Final Four team. Jordan Davis might be that person. But she'll have to come out and prove it again against Tech or Mizzou on Wednesday.

Congrats Bear Fans. Baylor does indeed look like the hottest team in the conference right now.
The tourney is going to have some exciting matchups. Even the OU/probable OSU match up should be a good one, with the way OSU is playing plus Bedlam III.

Congrats to the Lady Bears. What a season and what a way to go into post season play!

And I think at this point my vote for POY would go to Sheila Lambert. She's earned it.

ISU - What a heartbreak. I thought about those seniors walking out to give their farewell speeches after losing a close game on senior night. Those players have had so many wins but have to be disappointed in this year's results to date. The players will want to make things better with the post season but they will still be depending on to few players.

Baylor - I left the Texas @ Baylor game convinced that the Bears have as good a chance as any team in the conference to go deep in the post season. I think they have at least as good a chance as Oklahoma. Baylor has discipline, a strong inside and outside game, depth, speed, and strength. They have Lambert.

Sheila Lambert is a thousand times more impressive in person that she is on highlights or on TV! If I never see her again, it will be too soon!
You may have noticed a lot of Longhorn posters voting for Lambert as POY, best point guard, etc over the past couple of weeks. Now you know why. We've seen her twice this season and she's killed us twice! The really annoying thing is how many different ways she can kill you. I look forward to seeing Lambert in the WNBA.

On another note, there has previously been some discussion about KMR being "classless," and last night not only did Kim make a special effort to say a few nice words to ISU senior Ashley Homeyer, she also stayed for the senior speeches after her radio broadcast and applauded the ISU players. Not only do I think she has class, I think she is an excellent example for other coaches and players.
