I also have some questions about their particular choices for honors, and the link above contains some discussion about that. This is a new forum, but a very welcome one for those interested in recruiting for women's basketball.
Hopefully someone can provide a complete listing of the honorable mention players.

Tina Charles, an athletic and skilled power forward from Christ the King High School in Middle Village N.Y., tops the Scout/Full Court Press Class of 2006 Hot 50 prospect list. Rounding out the top five are Jacki Gemelos (St. Mary's High School, Stockton, Calif.), Brittainey Raven (North Crowley High School, Fort Worth, Texas), Amber Harris (North Central High School, Indianapolis) and Jayne Appel (Carondelet High School, Concord, Calif.) — as selected by a quartet of Scout.com experts.
These are the inaugural girls' basketball rankings produced by Scout.com, the industry leader in the ranking and coverage of football and boys' basketball prospects. Scout and Full Court Press also recently released the Sensational Six, the top six girls' basketball prospects regardless of class, and the 2006 Preseason All-American Team.

The Scout/Full Court Press Hot 50 list includes #3 Brittainey Raven (Texas); #10 Jordan Murphree (Texas Tech); #17 LaTara Darrett (Baylor); and #27 Whitney Jones (Baylor).
Not yet committed: #15 Allison Hightower's schools of interest are Texas Tech, Baylor, Georgia, Kansas State, LSU, and Texas. #31 Michelle Harrison's schools of interest are Stanford, California, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and USC. #45 La'Teena Wickett's schools of interest are LSU, Notre Dame, Rutgers, San Diego State, Texas Tech, and USC. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=427&p=9&cfg=wbb&c=4&yr=2006&pid=88
Whew! If I missed any Big 12 connections, please forgive me.
I was amused, when trying to find out if Allison Hightower had commited yet, that Google News found this: "As the high-powered Witch, Allison Hightower leers, sneers and menaces in a compelling performance that centers the action..." I do believe that's a different Allison Hightower! "...leers, sneers and menaces" might earn her a technical! http://www.recordonline.com/archive/2005/09/21/woods21.htm

Just an update, USC's recruiting is over, they are maxed out on signees with the recent verbals from Jacki Gemelos (who de-committed from UConn) and Morghan Medlock. So Harrison and Wickett won't be going there.
And Hightower's interest list is different from the one shown by Scout. It should also be noted that Scout's prospect info is very out-of-date, and their lists are very skimpy and not very well-researched.
Allison Hightower's current list of schools she is interested in is down to just four schools: Tech, Baylor, LSU and Oklahoma. In fact, Hightower is visiting OU soon, and two weeks later is scheduled to make her last visit to LSU. I'm not sure if LSU has offered, but it appears that there's a pretty good possibility that she will end up at a Big 12 school.
There are quite a few unsigned top-100 prospects who are listing LSU, also including top-10 recruit Amanda Thompson of Chicago, who has already visited Oklahoma, and Abi Olajuwon, who is reportedly going to visit OU, and is apparently seriously interested in playing for Coach Coale.
Olajuwan, Thompson, Darrett, Murphree and Wickett ALL played on the undefeated Blue Team at the USA Women's Youth Development Festival tournament this summer. If they all ended up playing for teams in the Big 12, it would be a big recruiting year for the conference.
The Youth Festival players are pretty much all considered to be top-50 players in their class. It's as coveted an invitation as you can get as a soon-to-be high school senior, and there were only 34 invited this year. In the past, as many as 48 have taken part in the tournament.
