But not Gillian Goring, although the word is that she'll make her decision in the next couple of weeks.

ISU got a committment from S. Sioux City player Jane Horkey, a 6'4" post who was a high school teammate of Katie Robinette. She is a high school junior, so she is ISU's first commitment for the class of 2003.

This season, Horkey has 16.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 58.6% FG, and quite a few blocks per game, although I don't have a stat for it.

Know anything about her, Chipper?

I think when Goring makes a decision, we will get a pretty good idea as to the real status of Nina Smith. If Nina won't be back next year, I don't think you'll see Goring in Ames. I still think that Goring would look good in Cardinal and Gold! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Horkey was really an unsung player at SSC. A three-year starter who was quite good in her own right, but was overshadowed by Robinette, Blackbird, and Nicole Oliver (Houston).

She's a very solid athlete who is similar to Cizek to ISU in a lot of ways. I'm a little surprise she landed in the Big 12 but she is definitely someone Bill Fennelly will enjoy working with.

Jane's a very solid player, and its a good pick up for Iowa State.
