Just a tidbit from Hornfans.com, a poster there says that she received an e-mail from Jody Conradt that the coaching staff is considering red-shirting Jody Bell. In interviews that I've heard, Conradt has spoken highly of Jody Bell's skills but has also said that it is taking time for Bell to adjust to the speed of the american college game.
Redshirting Jody Bell might be a good thing if it is o.k. with Bell. Texas is strong in the post this year with Cook and Stephens starting, Hastings coming off the bench, and Mercedes Williams and Dana Godfrey getting a few minutes from time to time. Next year, we lose Cook and Godfrey and, to date, have signed only guards as incoming freshmen.
