DALLAS, Texas -- Texas women's basketball standout Jamie Carey (Thornton, Colo./Horizon HS) was honored with another academic honor when the Big 12 Conference office announced that she will receive a 2004-05 Dr. Prentice Gautt Postgraduate Scholarships.
Twenty-four Big 12 student-athletes were selected to receive one of these prestigious post-graduate scholarships, named in honor of the late Dr. Prentice Gautt, a former Big 12 Conference staff member and student services' pioneer who passed away in March.
