Surprised noone has posted yet. What a game, OSU battles back and has just gone ahead of Baylor 61-60 with 3 or 4 seconds left.

Unbelievable game! Crockrom hits the game winner at the buzzer, and Baylor clinches a top 4 conference finish.

Wow. Crockrom had such a horrible game and then she comes through with the buzzer beater. Baylor went the length of floor and Crockrom banked home about a 12-footer. Almost looked like she walked - but in the replay looked good to me.

Just 4 seconds away from OSU maybe having gotten an NCAA Tourney birth.

She traveled... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/eek.gif That was a stunning finish! It looked Keitha Dickersonesque at Baylor a couple of years ago. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

Well, it's not a travel if Crockrom comes down on both feet at the same time to plant for the shot. Close call - I could see it getting called either way to tell the truth.

That's what I figured, but there's no way the refs call it if the play is that close in the final seconds. It did look like two steps and then a jump stop.

Mulkey-Robertson thought that win clinched a 2 seed. What it clinched was either a 2 or 3 seed and staying opposite of Oklahoma the entire tourney.

Baylor will only fall to a 3 seed if CU loses, BU loses, and KSU wins. So odds are very much in Baylor's favor that they are the #2 seed.

WOW!! What a shot, nice finish, BU and KMR's emotion at the end was classic! I love seeing that from a coach.

Wow, what a finish. RaiderPower, that was just a little jump stop. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif It was good to see Danielle hit the final shot since she struggled all afternoon. You really have to admire OSU for the way they have played over the last couple of weeks. I was hoping Lambert could pull a triple double, but she wasn't quite the same after banging her head. Looking forward to the ISU game.

An instant ESPN classic and a bye in tourney land. No way OU can meet up with them until the end........yippee http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif I think Baylor is maybe the one team that is playing the best right now in the Big XII. Great game, Baylor.

One of the announcers made a comment yesterday that a lot of folks think Shelia Lambert will get POY because Stacey and Laneisha will split votes.

It was definitely a travel, but at live speed I wasn't sure either. Can't blame the refs for missing it. Wait a minute......there aren't any OSU fans on this board......somebody needs to step up and do their job for them.......

Man, can you believe those freakin' refs at the end of the game@#$&*!!!!!!! OSU can't hardly get a break the last 10 minutes....every call goes Baylor's way....on Cowgirls own HOME court...on SENIOR DAY...in their coach's last HOME game...those sorry @#$&* Big 12 refs just didn't want my Cowgirls to spoil the Big 12 party...then they blow the OBVIOUS TRAVEL at the end of the game on PURPOSE just to help out BU...Baylor fans I hope you're happy with those refs and all those favors they gave you...this game had nothing to do with great players showing some game...you'd think those refs were trying to watch a whole court full of quick players or something...DISGUSTING...we need new refs....... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

okay...that might be a little extreme...congratulations Baylor on a well played game and a clutch performance...my heart was racing the last couple minutes watching the Cowgirls try to pull off a third straight huge upset on their home court...and I just had general Big 12 fan interest in the game...how are you folks...hope the Baylor fans got through that one okay.

Looking back at it, I think that's more like what you might see on an ESPN board or a team's own board.

I don't think the refs called anything, they really let them play.
Though the touch fouls that they did call went against Baylor. And if it was travelling, it wasn't the first one they missed http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Win or lose...call or no call... That was one H--- of an effort by both teams. OSU in particular has every reason to be proud of the tribute they paid Halterman.

of course, they've been showing the play over and over on our Oklahoma news stations.......

I'm really curious why Halterman didn't ask for a "review" on the walking. I know when Iowa State was in town last year and a shot was made at the buzzer, there was a question about travelling and the officials reviewed the play.

You can only review a play for anything related to the clock. The ISU play was reviewed to make sure that the shot was in time. Nothing else can be challenged.

If this is true---uhmmm---I'm thinking of a L O N G delay of game so the refs can give a foul to another person when http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ut.gif played the Bears---home court of course http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I think OSU could beat a lot of teams out there! I feel bad for teams that are finishing lower in the conference. These teams that finish low in this conference could probably finish pretty high in most other conferences. I hope OSU gets into the NIT, because they deserve it! We have always had trouble beating them in Stillwater. In fact this is our first win in six tries!

Where are the Bears fans on this thread? I want to read some opinions. You should be exalting the victory. Hope I didn't scare anybody away with the post above. I was just joshin' you a little. Once in a while, I meander over to the ESPN board. Always wondered what it would be like to make the type of post seen there so often. Got it out of my system now. I actually thought the officiating was even-handed. It's tough for the Cowgirls to lose on a non-call like that at the end, but sooner or later every team gets to experience that displeasure. Too many things happen and don't happen in a game to pretend it hinges entirely on one call by the refs. Danielle still had to make the shot, the half-court pass could have been anticipated and stolen, somebody could have gotten defensive position to force a charge (maybe too risky) or travel (oops) by Danielle. And, of course, there are always missed opportunities earlier in the game.

I didn't see the first half, but the second half was a lot of fun. I have been so impressed with how stubborn Baylor has been this year. They evidently just do not like the letter L. Lately, Oklahoma State has refused to acknowledge that letter also. What happens when two teams who absolutely refuse to lose play? Well, evidently one team has a player hit a very tough shot with just a few ticks on the clock to apparently win the game. And then the other team takes those few ticks and manages to score on an even tougher shot to actually win the game (for the first time in the arena no less). And then a coach gets so excited she forgets protocol.

I do hope all Baylor fans are alright tonight after that heart stopper.

I believe mistakes in the assignment of fouls are "correctible errors." If a coach points out the problem within the appropriate time frame for the type of error, the officials can do whatever is feasible to ascertain the correct ruling.

I guess most of the major game discussion got hijacked by the "other" thread on KMR.
I feel extremely lucky to have "walked" away with a win. I was in Stillwater last year and saw Sheila's last second shot rim out. Revenge is sweet. I do have to admit that, despite the great roll the Lady Bears have been on, that I'm getting a little worried about the slow starts we've been getting. In the last six games or so, Baylor has trailed almost every game by 10 or so early on before coming back. That's definitely the kind of thing that'll bite ya come tournament time.

two cents, you talked about how the pass had to be good. Kim told a story on the radio interview about that last play. She had originally drawn up the shot for Jessika Stratton to throw the inbounds pass. Jessika had the brains and the guts to tell Kim that she didn't feel that she was best suited to throw the kind of pass that was needed. She deferred to Stasha Richards, and her perfect pass pretty much set it all up. Jessika doesn't put up the numbers that you usually expect from a 2, but she is constantly doing little subtle things like that that make the difference in winning games.

I think that was one of the most awesome games I've seen this year, and I watched it from start to finish. These Big XII games are killing my weekend naptime.. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

When they interviewed Baylor on TV, KMR said the play was also to have Sheila Lambert coming down cutting to the basket.....
I think that's what makes it even more special of a win, that Danielle Crockrum was either being guarded extremely well or she was having an off night.....and for her to step up and make that shot was huge. The last game in Stillwater was won on a "missed" last second attempt vs Iowa State.......

Chantoya Hawkins basket was pretty big in itself...and it literally got a shooters roll....

After so many extremely close losses in Stillwater, it was great to be on the other side of things for a change! We played far from our best ball, but that was due in part to OSU coming out with all the energy on Senior night. We came out flat. Regardless, I'll take the win which makes it 10 out of 11.

And now we wait. If CU wins on Tuesday, we clinch the 2 seed. If not, that puts the pressure on our shoulders for Wednesday's game at ISU.

OSU was that close to ANOTHER big upset. A few weeks ago, Baylor's close call would have looked real different - like they should have done better. Wow. Now Baylor's win looks real good.

Good job by Jessika to know her teammates' strengths. Cool story, spooky.
