Colorado, Texas, and Tech are at the tops of their games. Could Colorado have a letdown after the K.State game? Yes, but they will still win.

TExas @ Kansas
Kansas will keep its record perfect "O" for....

Baylor @ Iowa State
Okay, Bears, make a believer out of me..
I go with the home team in this one. No "dancing" MR in this one.

Missouri @ K.State
The home team wins

Tech @ OU
Home team wins

Oklahoma State @ Aggieland

Colorado @ Nebraska - Colorado can certainly set some things in place a night early....win or lose. I believe they are still on track to host NCAA rounds 1 & 2. Ceal's bunch don't want any more lectures.......Colorado

Texas @ Kansas -- well, I believe Kansas is really going to go 0-16.....has any team ever gone 0-16 in the Big XII??? Texas

Baylor @ Iowa State - I've always thought Iowa State would win this game, given the factors that Baylor overcame in Stillwater to win, I think Baylor has a solid chance to win @ the Hilton.
Iowa State needs the win, they really, really want to stay home come March. Is that a lost hope?....Iowa State.

Missouri @ Kansas State - hmmmm, this is an interesting game, does KSU still have hosting potential?....I would think losing 4 of the last 10 has maybe cost them. Though I think Kansas State probably needs a bye in the Big 12 more than anyone given their youth.....they come out on fire. Kansas State

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma - ah, think I've talked about this game on other threads.....I'm a homer, through and through http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ou.gif

Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M - hmmmmm, I think Texas A & M wants to go out on a solid note, though they may turn around and have to play the Cowgirls again next week.....going with the home team, Texas A & M.

Colorado @ Nebraska - Colorado. While a cornhusker upset would give Texas a bye for the Big 12 tournament, I don't see it happening.
Texas @ Kansas - Texas.

Wednesday, February 27
Baylor @ Iowa State - ISU - I'm going with ISU at home on senior night but ISU has looked a little shaky down the stretch.
Missouri @ Kansas State - Kansas St. Wildcats get a chance to get a little confidence back.
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma - Oklahoma at home.
Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M - Oklahoma State.

Colorado @ Nebraska...Colorado is playing some really good ball right now. Nebraska isn't. Buffs by 12.

Texas @ Kansas...The Kansas mens team has the opposite record. Horns by 15.

Wednesday, February 27

Baylor @ Iowa State---I don't know what to expect out of this game. I think ISU will be much more fired up for this game, with more on the line. ISU by 10.

Missouri @ Kansas State---Mizzou put up a fight for 60% of the game vs OU. KSU really needs this win, however, to get back on track. KSU by double digits.

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma---Good game to finish the season. OU by 8 on senior night.

Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M----Should be a close one. I'll go with the ags, being at home.

Colorado @ Nebraska....I don't know what is worse. Losing, losing big, or losing to Vichy Colorado.
How about losing, losing big AND losing to Vichy Colorado?

Colorado 84, Nebraska 56

Texas @ Kansas....Congratulations Kansas, 2002 Big 12 Enron Cup Champions.
Stacey Stephens bull through like Ricky Williams finding a hole off tackle.

Texas 80, Kansas 52

Wednesday, February 27

Baylor @ Iowa State....Kim was trying out for Soul Train at Stillwater.
There will be no love, peace or soul for the Baylor head coach at ICBM State.

Iowa State 83, Baylor 68

Missouri @ Kansas State......Shuttle Columbia could launch well against a reeling Kansas State team.
It'll be close, but I gotta go with those Sunflower State Spice Girls.

Kansas State 68, Missouri 60

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma.......Oklahoma will gear up for the tournament with a tourney-intense game

Oklahoma 81, Texas Tech 75

Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M.....Here's your Phillips 66 TropArtic "Long Live Your Car" Game of the Week.
WNIT hope on display for both teams. I think Lame Duck Halterman's girls will get a buzzer beater going their way in College Station

Oklahoma 71, Texas A&M 69

Colorado @ Nebraska: Ceal and the girls get a win to tie for 2nd in the conference - CU

Texas @ Kansas: not even senior night can help the Hawks - UT

Baylor @ Iowa State: wouldn't want to the be the opponent on senior night at the Hilton - ISU

Missouri @ Kansas State: ditto in Manhattan - KSU

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma: ditto ditto at Lloyd Noble

OSU @ A&M: A&M doesn't lose much to senioritis - but the game - Cowgirls play for the NIT

Colorado @ Nebraska---ISU needs Nebraksa to win, not going to happen---Colorado

Texas @ Kansas---ISU needs Kansas to win, again, not going to happen---Texas

Wednesday, February 27

Baylor @ Iowa State---Senior night, last regular season home game for Welle and Gahan---ISU by 3

Missouri @ Kansas State---ISU would like Missouri to win, might happen, but not this time---Kansas State

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma---Could be a good one, Tech has nothing to lose and everything to gain, Oklahoma has nothing to gain and nothing to lose---Oklahoma by 10

Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M---Back of the pack teams, Looks like Oklahoma State on this one.

Colorado @ Nebraska: Nebraska could put up a fight, but Colorado is too good.
Texas @ Kansas: Ummm... flipping a coin... Texas. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
Baylor @ Iowa State: ISU. After three straight games of playing down to their opponents' level, ISU gets a chance to play up.
Missouri @ Kansas State: KSU
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma: Could be a good game. OU
Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M: OSU. They won @ Nebraska. They can win @ A&M.

Colorado @ Nebraska-CU wins
Texas @ Kansas-ha.

Wednesday, February 27
Baylor @ Iowa State-the Cyclones are going to lay the smack down on Baylor. I said it when CU played K-State, and I was right then too. You can't beat teams like that when it's their last night in their house, especially with wonderful kids like they have at ISU.
Missouri @ Kansas State-KSU. I always feel sorry for teams that play the great shooting teams after they suffer bad shooting games.
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma-OU. Senior night. Nuff said.
Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M-OSU...you go cowgirls! Make a run for the Big Dance!

With the exception of the game in Ames, it seems that this set of games is one of the easiest to predict.

Tuesday, February 26
Colorado @ Nebraska CU
Texas @ Kansas UT

Wednesday, February 27

Missouri @ Kansas State KSU
Texas Tech @ Oklahoma OU
Oklahoma State @ Texas A & M OSU
Baylor @ Iowa State The above posts opt for ISU 9 to 1. Can't really figure this one out -- the results of the game will have no effect on the Big 12 seeding: BU will be 2nd and ISU will be 6th regardless. Senior night? I think its a bit overrated in terms of motivation. Won't be making the trip this weekday, but I'll go against the crowd: (Like to see Chipper pick against BU again.) Baylor in another close one.

Don't take it personally. I'd probably pick Baylor if I were objective. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif ISU hasn't looked all that great the past three games, but I'm hoping it's just a case of playing down to the opponent.

I just know when those 'clone fans set their sites on a win......
they usually get it. An incredibly hard arena to listen to yourself think, much less talk http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif I don't know that personally, but if it's anything like Hilton South........ http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

It's louder because we can get more people in than Hilton South!

Fact patrol reporting for duty..... Maybe I'm figurin' this wrong. I think Texas will beat Kansas, so that makes them 10-6. If Tech beats Oklahoma that would make them 9-7 and if ISU loses to Baylor that would make them 9-7. The first tie breaker is head to head competition which Tech would win over ISU, giving Tech the 6th seed. Not that its such a big deal, play Missouri or Nebraska and then if you win those play Baylor or Colorado, either one suits me. I just thought the ISU/Baylor game does have some bearing on tournament seeds, even if it is remote.

Thanks to mred for supplying the patrol.

"Baylor @ Iowa State -- the results of the game will have no effect on the Big 12 seeding: BU will be 2nd and ISU will be 6th regardless"

I stand by my prediction as 100% accurate. OU will not lose at home to Tech with a potential loss of a #1 NCAA seed at risk.

Baylor currently has four losses, not six. Bearskin, they are a sure #3 seed and only a #2 if they beat ISU. The Lady Bears could certainly win this game, but ISU at home, on senior night, with the class that they have, it will be very difficult.

Look again Zo--

BU can do no worse than tie for 2nd in the standings with either KSU or CU, or in a three way tie with both. The only possible scenerio in which BU gets a 3 seed is in a two way tie with KSU. That would take a loss by CU on Tuesday to NU -- ain't gonna happen, and unless it does happen, the Wednesday game with ISU in no way affects our seeding.

C'mon Bearskin, quit being so stubborn. I admitted the probability was remote. Why can't you admit that the BU/ISU game could have a bearing on seeding?

Going against the grain...

Nebraska wins over Colorado at Lincoln
Texas just too strong for Kansas
The Twister Sisters on Senior Night
Kansas State over a dispirited Missouri team in Manhattan
Raiders try to spoil Senior Night, but fall just short in Norman
Cowgirls end in style

Tomorrow's Colorado/Nebraska has more bearing for Baylor on tourney seedings than their own with Iowa State......if Colorado wins, Baylor is the 2 seed. If Colorado loses, Baylor is the 3 seed. Kansas State will need to win it's game in order for it to gain the 2 seed with a Colorado loss .....I think, now I'm totally confused.
I figure it'll be a lot easier to figure out after the Colorado game.

However, I think Dblt is right in that Iowa State could fall to the 7th seed if Texas Tech beats OU and Baylor beats Iowa State....Texas probably has to win in that scenario, too....since they are currently tied with ISU.

BU needs ANY ONE of the following to happen to get a 2 seed:

1) A CU win tomorrow night (most likely)
2) A BU win in Ames (less likely)
3) A KSU loss (least likely)

Sorry, Double T, I make my living being stubborn--and with an attempt at the precise use of the Engilsh language (except, at times with a jury)

My posts have said the game WILL not have an effect on the seeding, not that the game CANNOT have an effect. It CAN snow in Waco this April, but I feel 100% safe in saying that it will not snow in Waco this April.

I really enjoy all the good basketball comments and "good hearted" banter http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Colorado shuts the dooor on Nebraska
Texas will do well in the land of OZ
Iowa trips up KM and Baylor in front of their bench
Kansas State turns up the notch and sends the Tigers licking their wounds
Oklahoma will beat Tx Tech but only after a grueling war and knowing the Big 12 refs it will probably be a call at the last minute sending Ok to the line. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
Oklahoma is on a mission and will woop up on A%M for the gipper.

It's the all upset special week!!

Feb 26:
Colorado at Nebraska---one last chance for Huskers to show what they're made of...when they play disciplined...they play well...Nebraska over Colorado

Texas at Kansas---come on Jayhawks...can't go 0 fer conference...last chance at home...senior night...show some spunk...Kansas over Texas...I must be nuts

Feb 27:
Baylor at Iowa State---everybody picking ISU...but Bears ahead in standings and slightly ahead in RPI...Bears got to deal with Clone zone...Iowa State over Baylor in tiny, technical upset

Missouri at Kansas State---Tigers got blown out in Columbia...probably have no chance in Manhattan...Evan Unrau out...what am I thinkin'...Missouri over Kansas State

Texas Tech at Oklahoma---Raiders looked good in last 3...all at home...not the toughest competition...seem to be enjoying the game again...still alot to play for...they have a shot here...Texas Tech over Oklahoma

Oklahoma State at Texas A&M---if Cowgirls can regroup, they can still finish strong...need to play angry against press...think OSU will win but gotta stick with the program here...Texas A&M over Oklahoma State

Glad nobody's actually keeping track of this stuff.
