Marsha Sharp's Palace
(Sung to the tune of "Crackerbox Palace")

Another game for Husker girls
It'll start bad you see.
Cause Texas Tech pass it and
find Amber Tarr for three

And we welcome you to Marsha Sharp's Palace'
We've been expecting you.
You're getting beat in Marsha Sharp's Palace
There is no way Nebraska beats TTU

Still giving up, the easy twos
The Huskers lose their heart
Paul looks around for someone new
He don't know who to start

And say, It's a farce at Marsha Sharp's Palace.
Jia steals it for two.
Getting blown out at Marsha Sharp's Palace.
And Cisti outrebounds both the Charos, too.

And we welcome you to Marsha Sharp's Palace
We've been expecting you.
You're getting beat in Marsha Sharp's Palace
There is no way Nebraska beats TTU

This game will be so very bad.
Texas Tech's in the pink.
A Saturday that's really long.
Because the Huskers stink...and they say..

Welcome you, to Marsha Sharp's Palace
We'll score a lot on you.
You're getting slapped in Marsha Sharp's Palace.
There's really nothing that NU can do.

And we welcome you, to Marsha Sharp's Palace
We've been expecting you.
You're getting beat in Marsha Sharp's Palace
There is no way Nebraska beats TTU

If this game was in Lincoln, I'd say we had a shot not to embarasses ourselves. But this team is hamper by three fundamental truths about Nebraska Womens Basketball in the Sanderford Era.

1. Nebraska's best players don't play two good games in a row, except for Keasha Cannon.
2. Nebraska doesn't beat ranked teams
3. Nebraska doesn't beat quality teams on the road.

Texas Tech 85, Nebraska 55

Thanks for the entertainment Chipper! I'm optimistic about this game, but not altogether sanguine. Episodes from the KSU at NU game keep rolling through my mind.

Me too, Two Cents, this has been one of those years that expect the worst and hope for the best. I know these players are trying to finish out this year on a good note and I hope they can get it done.

To all the Texas Tech fans down on the Lady Raiders....

Would you like to trade teams with me?
I didn't think so.

I'll stick with the Lady Raiders...Down on them, no way! They've showed me guts and courage sticking in there through the rough patches this year. The last two games, I've seen the team that beat Vandy.

I'm looking forward though to seeing Cannon play! You know I moved to Lubbock from Omaha (UNO) so I have a soft place in my heart for these Husker women!

Chipper, I'm not down on them. The kids play their hearts out and represent the University well. I'm proud to cheer for them; they deserve it. They have kept us on pins and needles this year, however. Teams lose games and kids suffer disappointment. They learn from those experiences. It's not a tragedy, but I want them to win. As Bball Girl said on another thread "always a Lady Raider fan!"

Well, it was indeed a sad night for my Husker girls. Congrats to TTU for a well-played game! Is it true that Amber Tarr didn't play? I heard that on one radio station on the web.

Also catching my eye tonight...CU 40, KSU 12 at the half. It will be interesting to watch the discussion thread about that one tonight.

Amber strained her back in practice on Thursday & has been experiencing some back spasms...they're being very careful with her. So, no she didn't play...pretty tough to swallow for a senior.

All I can say, after watching that game, it leads back to Texas Tech being a seriously good team when the parts are working, and they worked. Perkins and Ritchie played their buns off!
Perkins disrupted us, Ritchie was hitting everything she shot it seemed.
The Lady Raiders may be green, but they brought the goods, and I look forward to seeing them in tournament play.

As for Nebraska? Well, the Monica Lewinsky University Huskers are back. I shudder to think how they'll play at home vs. Colorado.
Once again, Nebraska was taken out early, and Texas Tech in the second half, beat us without mercy. Especially when their walk on and bench plauers were scoring points and getting they crowd fired up in the last three minutes.

Again I am one disappointed fan.

Okay, Chipper, a question....

Why the Monica Lewinsky reference about my Huskers?

P.S. Don't blast me for not knowing, okay? I just found this forum a week ago.

boo? That's what Nebraska fans need to do sometimes at the Devaney Center with this team.

I love the Huskers, but I call 'em like I see 'em.

Yeah, Shucks, don't underestimate ole Chipper. He will defend his team with spirt if he thinks you might be overselling your chances against them a little too much. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

Thanks, KSUron. I've seen your team play several times this year (in person and on TV): wow! I can't imagine what they'll be like next year.
