Arizona St leading North Carolina early 10-6. Game is very rough. NC"s Metcalf with the 2 point wrestling take down on ASU's Johnson.

Swok says UNC can be thuggy (excpet Latta) and she's right...but they're getting called for some of them..

North Carolina leading now 44-38 1:17 til the half. NC freshman Erlana Larkins having a great game for the Tar Heels with 14 points and 8 rebounds

Speaking of Latta, the announcers said she had 9 points with a little under five minutes left in the half, and after that she hit two FT's and a layup on a fast break.

That would make 13, but the NCAA game stats say 11. Why do I believe the announcers more than the stats....??

(BTW, Latta was my first round pick for the Challenge contest.)

After two late FT's by Latta, they show her with 13, I think she has 15.

I'd like to see North Carolina win this game if ony to take away the home court advantage in a regional.

Look at all those poor children snoozing away......of course, it's probably past their bedtimes :D

NO HOME COURT ADVANTAGE......Baylor will face North Carolina Monday nite.

ASU really gave UNC a good tussle, but it just isn't reasonable to expect that they could beat the Lady Tar Heels, even on their own court, because the gap in athleticism was striking. Still, I feel good about Baylor's chances against the #1 seed, and still expect an amazing game.

You can see why ASU beat UCONN AND UGA..they may not be as athletic, but they hustle and play with great heart...sometimes that matters more than being a great athlete. But UNC has great heart too...

Geez Latta is only a sophmore
