Whew!!! A great win and played outstanding defense shutting down Rice's key players.

Cisti Greenwalt had a breakout game, 13 pts, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks. I've been waiting for that to happen. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif Ritchie has 5, 3's, all in the first hald, I think, and lead the team with 20 points. Dionee Brown had a 14 points and 10 rebounds and the rest was spread around. Eveyone played and it was a great team effort.

Natalie had her last three in the second half.

Cisti played solid and strong. She was getting mugged in the second half but still played very strong and got most of her points (10 i think) in the second half. Dionne played very solid on 7-10 shooting. I was glad to see EVERYONE get quality minutes in this game. These are the Lady Raiders that I knew we had! Defense Defense Defense! Held Rice to 20% shooting. Offense played good for 30 minutes. Overall I was impressed with our main players in the game. They played great and I expect this from here on out.

Tech missed 17 out of 32 free throws tonight...TERRIBLE! They have got to work on that if they expect to win big games. Love the fact that everyone played and that the points were spread around. No one played less than 7 minutes and none more than 28. Coach kept fresh legs on the floor and played with several different player combos. I look for Dionne and Cisti to be huge for this team come conference play...love watching them on the floor together. Good defensive win...should have produced more offense though. I think it should have been a 90+ point total for Tech. Oh well...at least they're getting better. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Lot better chemistry in this game. I always thought the reason they donn't sink free throws was they didn't practice them, but they do spend time working on them in practice. They make them in practice.
