Its halftime in the Ferrill Center and Sophia Young and company are giving the visiting Cowgirls a lesson on both ends of the court. They lead Oklahoma St 46-18. Young leads the Bears with 14 pts, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Nina Stone leads the Cowgirls with 9 points.
It sounds and looks like the only thing Baylor might need to tune up is the pep band :D

I'm glad the Lady Bears didn't let this one come down to the wire. I'm a little surprised Baylor didn't go to the bench a little earlier. It would be nice to see Melanie Hammerly, Victoria Jones, and Chisa (last name too difficult) get a little more time on the court when the opportunity presents itself.
Good win for Baylor. I'm surprised Oklahoma State didn't give us a better game. Cowgirls have been playing well lately. Bring on the Missouri Tigers!

Watching this game if making very nervous for next Saturday. I wish Baylor would decide that they would rather play the game in Ames.

ISUbballfan,
Didn't you read where one of our illustreous posters informed us it really doesn't matter where the game is played? Court is the same size, basket the same height. Just the same, I think Baylor will happily remain in Waco for the match up with Iowa State. I wasn't too thrilled with the outcome of last year's encounter up Ames way.
That being said, I sure hope our girls are focused on the upcoming game against Missouri. One game at a time.
By the way, final score...Lady Bears 87 Cowgirls 51

Oh but I was hoping if we changed the location maybe Baylor would be as nice as Texas bring us some of the lovely warm weather we had last Saturday. ;)

Yea, well, its raining right now here in Waco, so are you sure that's what you want us to bring? ;)

Rain is fine as long as you keep the temp above 32 degrees. I'm tried on ice this year.

Good game by the Lady Bears. It was good to see the offensive intensity that was displayed in the first half. Getting a big lead right away really put the Cowgirls in a hole. What can you say about Sophia Young? I would have to give her my vote for Big XII Player of the Year. It will be interesting to see how the next few games play out for several players that are in the running for Big XII honors.
Some players can't win for losing. Chelsea Whitaker wasn't even in the game when she created a turnover. ;) She was standing on the sideline on the opposite side of the court when Abiola Wabara threw a crosscourt pass to her. The stats says she had no turnovers, but I have to give her a little credit for that one.
