A lot of people here (myself included) believe Tracy Gahan is a very talented player capable of being great if she'd just be more aggressive. Through four games, she's averaging 15.0 ppg...

ISU is up 48-33 at the half against Drake, and Gahan has 15 points. Oh, and Lindsey Wilson (averaging 20.0 ppg) has 21.

PLEASE don't blow this lead.....

I just found out Melanie Bremer is suspended for the rest of the semester (unspecified team rule violation), so she isn't playing in the game.

Unbelievable. ISU wins, 90-60. The big three (Welle, Wilson, Gahan) scored 66 combined, if I remember right.

This makes me extremely happy! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Yipee!!!!!!!!!! I was worried going into the game with what the results have been in the past few years at Drake. Great game for the cyclones.

Unbelievably good game for the Cyclones. In contrast to the Creighton game, this time they were able to shred Drake's press and set up great shots all over the court. Meanwhile, Angie was able to pass the ball out of the double team with a minimum of turnovers, and Lindsey and Tracy Gahan were shooting with stunning accuracy. On top of that, Lindsey was constantly barreling into the lane, spinning around, and putting in great shots. Stephanie Schmitz just could not stop her, especially with other personnel occupied with double-teaming Angie. Carla Bennett played a very, very tough inside game and made a lot of amazing shots right through the double team, but Angie kept her patience and picked up lots of points at the free-throw line. Just an incredibly good win for Iowa State -- the largest margin of victory ever against Drake at the Knapp Center, in front of the largest crowd ever to see a women's game there (6,415).
