Oklahoma @ Texas -- the red river rivalry returns, Stacey Dales leads the charge.......Oklahoma's guard play and fast breaking style of basketball too much for the Longhorns...... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ou.gif

Texas A & M @ Texas Tech -- I don't see these new high powered Aggies winning a game out on the plains of Texas. Texas Tech

Colorado @ Baylor - this is the game! conference placement lies on the line......and we're all fighting to get to KC a day late.
Baylor is tough at home, Baylor is feeling it......gotta grab this last home game before they jump on the road. Baylor.

Iowa State @ Missouri - ah, back on track Cyclones, Missouri-less Unrau doesn't have a chance. ISU has to win and will need lots of help to avoid playing "early" in KC. Iowa State.

Oklahoma State @ Nebraska --- HUSKERS, I really, really want to see that game that you played on Feb 10th......play tough, Robinette......Paul don't you dare suspend these girls; you need them.........Nebraska.

Oklahoma @ Texas: Oklahoma.
Texas A & M @ Texas Tech: Tech.

February 18:
Colorado @ Baylor: Colorado. ISU can use a Colorado victory here for a shot at a bye seed (yes, it is still very possible)
Iowa State @ Missouri: ISU. This is a must-win game. A loss here seriously damages ISU's shot at hosting.
Oklahoma State @ Nebraska: Nebraska. Does the Halterman magic work outside of Stillwater? Then again, which Nebraska team will show up (and how many of them http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif )?

Anyway, this is how ISU gets a 4 seed in the conference tournament. Two things must happen.
#1. ISU has to beat Baylor (as well as Missouri and Kansas).
#2. Either Colorado beats Baylor or KSU beats Colorado.

If ISU beats Baylor but Baylor beats CU and CU beats KSU, then BU, CU, and KSU all have 5 losses and ISU has 6. Any other combination in the BU-CU and CU-KSU games, and one of those three will have 6 losses, with ISU holding a tiebreaker against all three.

OU @ UT: Texas needs a win here to stay ahead of ISU in the seedings - they need to win at least two of their last three - but have to travel to the Rockies - however, OU will be
Austin-tatious! Sooners by 5

A&M @ Tech: A&M and NU are battling for the 2:30 or 8:30 game times - Tuesday in KC - Tech by 12+

CU @ BU: I like the "skinniest coach" approach - will there be a melee at the weigh-in? - Da Bears at home by 8

ISU @ MU: Still-waters run deep - ISU bounces back and bounces the Tigers like TIGGER's tale - 'Clones by 15

OSU @ NU: Too bad they didn't decide earlier to win some for Dick - Cowgirls by 9

Oklahoma at Texas.....My mind says Oklahoma, but my gut feeling says to go with Texas in an upset. I actually flipped a coin and OU won the toss. OU by a slim margin!

A&M at Texas Tech.....Tech may struggle with the full court pressure, but they should pull this one out at home.

Colorado at Baylor http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/bu.gif ....Baylor should win this one at home. It will be a very tough game however. It certainly is a pivotal game for Baylor's shot at a first round bye. Again, the defensive pressure on Roulier and Nightingale will be key to this game. Lambert and Crockrom both need huge games.

Iowa State at Missouri.......ISU will get it done on the inside as well as from the perimeter.

Oklahoma State at Nebraska......OSU is playing tough right now and I believe that they will win this one.

HOOP -- CAN YOU EDIT THE TITLE OF THIS TOPIC?

Looks like Swok may be a little too anxious for this next round of games to start.

February 19:

Oklahoma @ Texas -UT, just a guess, hoping OU wins out and may be overconfident in tourney.

Texas A & M @ Texas Tech -Tech

February 20:

Colorado @ Baylor -BU, Bears tough at home, Buffs only one good road win in conference.

Iowa State @ Missouri -ISU, Clones lick wounds and coast until the 27th.

Oklahoma State @ Nebraska -NU, both have had big upsets recently, going with the home team to rebound after disaster in Norman.

Oklahoma @ Texas

Geez, lets start off with a toughie. OU by single digits on the road.

Texas A & M @ Texas Tech

Lets switch to an easier one. Tech by double digits. Jia's baaaack.

February 18:
Colorado @ Baylor

I think this will be our 2nd toughest home game of the year, behind OU. I think BU wins a VERY tight game. BU by 4. Senior night baby!

Iowa State @ Missouri

Hmmmm. This is somewhat similar to the OSU trap that occurred last weekend. Except for the fact that OSU is playing good ball and MU isn't! I like the Clones by 12.

Oklahoma State @ Nebraska

These Cowgirls are going out and winning for Halterman (which has me scared for Saturday), but I like NU at home here in a close one.

February 19:
Oklahoma @ Texas.........Roy Williams Caulfield will make play after play after play...Oklahoma 79, Texas 66

Texas A & M @ Texas Tech.....The Aggies are seeing the WNIT finish line. It's improbable, but they are making a run.
TTU netted a big fish against Wisconsin. I don't see them losing the momentum. Texas Tech 71, Texas A&M 60

February 20:
Colorado @ Baylor............The Dani and Sheila revival makes a believer of Vichy Colorado. Baylor 77, Colorado 71

Iowa State @ Missouri........Shuttle Columbia loses another engine as ICBM State has launch capability. Iowa State 84, Missouri 64

Oklahoma State @ Nebraska.....All is in place for an Oklahoma State win. The kids are dying for Lame Duck Halterman, Nebraska is in turmoil due to some questionable suspensions and in-team fighting.
In this Monster.com Big 12 "Coaches Who Need A Job Game of the Week"...I will be a fan and take Nebraska.

Nebraska 61, Oklahoma State 59

A memo to Dick Halterman. Please send your resume to Bill Byrne, the womens basketball job will be open soon, we hope http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

February 17:
Oklahoma @ Texas-Texas
Texas A & M @ Texas Tech-Tech

February 18:
Colorado @ Baylor-Depth, depth, depth vs. lack thereof, lack thereof and lack thereof. I think CU will pull off the upset. And if you think KMR is skinnier than CB, you're wrong, by the way.

Iowa State @ Missouri-Clones
Oklahoma State @ Nebraska-ooh. OSU.

CHIPPER. Give us the scoop re: questionable suspensions at NU.

OUCH, Chipper, that hurts! Why'd you have to bring football into this?

Feb 19:
Oklahoma at Texas---'Horns fighting for host privileges...probably confident they can get this one...Sooners locking in their focus...this game should benefit both teams in a couple of weeks...Oklahoma over Texas

Texas A&M at Texas Tech---Tech broke press easily last time...Aggies will likely try different version this time...getting the hang of "40 minutes of hell" style...Raiders must use interior players and passing skills here...Texas Tech over Texas A&M

Feb 20:
Colorado at Baylor---if Buffs go with Bjorklund, won't have enough D inside...with Hartshorn, may not score enough...senior night...crowd will be into it...Baylor over Colorado

Iowa State at Missouri---Tigers have kept me guessing all season...for that matter so have the Cyclones...with what's at stake for ISU this should be an easy call...Iowa State over Missouri

Oklahoma State at Nebraska---Cowgirls haven't shown same gumption on road as in Stillwater...Huskers showed a little at home against KSU...with a road win and a home win (vs. BU), OSU edges into bubble territory...Oklahoma State over Nebraska
