This is the first chance I've had to post since getting back from Norman. CyRox and I had the pleasure of having lunch with catladyok and swok. It was a great lunch at the Red Zone (definitely recommend it) and great conversation. It was very nice to finally put faces to the screen names. And if any OU fans wanna make the trip north to Ames, we'll show you a good time. :-)
The game was a lot of fun (of course since ISU won, I'm a little biased in saying that). I have to agree with the poster who thought that the halftime show might have been a little inappropriate for the crowd in attendance (Elementary School Day). I was so impressed at how ISU handled the mini-runs that OU was able to put together. The weathered each storm and kept their heads about them. Plus starting 5-5 from behind the arch ain't bad.
I do have to share one comment I got from one of the ISU players. At one point during the first half Coach Coale said to her, "Can y'all quit making so many shots, you're making my team look bad." Our player just smiled back and gave a quick wink. Classic Sherri Coale.
The trip back to Ames was made even sweeter by the men's victory. Now that was unexpected! But with wins by both teams, it made the 9 hour drive back to Iowa much more bearable.
Thanks again to catladyok and swok. It was a pleasure meeting you both!
