Perkins with 19, Tarr with 17, Ritchie with 10, Ayers with 8 and 9 big boards, Jackson with 8, White and Ellison with 6. Balanced scoring..17 assists. The Lady Raiders played with heart and soul today and played for each other knocking off Wisconsin 78-62.

Best looking outing I've seen in ages...Coach Sharp put in a new offense which Ritchie described as being "awesome"...much more motion, better offensive spacing and it worked!

Jia found her game in the 2nd half and the team practically mobbed her when Coach Sharp subbed in the bench at the end of the game.

Tarr was huge today, got some key steals and rebounds. and you can't say enough about White...she was everywhere, knocked down some big shots and just hustled all day.

Tech shot 60something% FG in the 2nd half, ending up with a nice 54% for the game and 54% 3PT.

Wisconsin was huge even one of their PG's looked like she was 6ft...Tech was able to limit Stomski to 10 pts (she averages 30) but she pulled down 12 boards. Black, Moore and Asbaugh were all in double figures.

Pretty even game in some ways, but Tech executed so much better today!

Loved the offense much better today...it was a lot more fluent and flowing. Defense was awesome too. Jia finally got her groove back and the three guards that carried us through the first part of the big xii finally showed up again. Great "NCAA type" win for the LR...let's keep it up...next up is TAMU. Go Lady Raiders!

Yes, great win, much better look on their face, hustle, playing with a purpose. I was wondering about those changes to the offense which is much better and the movement was great today. I wish it hadn't taken so long to make that change. With three regular season games left, two at home, we need at least two, and three would be even better. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Nothing like a late-season game out of conference against "just any ole ranked team" to put a Big 12 team back on track!

Nice to see you all posting again.

I have a question for Tech fans. I'm just shocked to read Marsha Sharp's concession that here team just isn't good enough to compete with the best teams in the Big 12. ???? They have!?! I have no beef against Marsha and come to grudingly admire here ability to fit new players into her system year after year. I'm just flabergasted that she would say something like that. Is this a challenge to the team? Just curious what you all think.

Where did you hear this concession?

I've read where she states that this team is not "mentally" tough enough to play night in and night out in this league. She says they lose their confidence quickly and are inconsistent on both ends of the floor.

They are competing and winning some good games, but also losing to some teams they shouldn't, but I guess that goes for most every team in the Big XII, except OU. It might be a challenge to the team, not sure. I think she's looking for most anything to light the fire in them.

Way to go Texas Tech! You got a big unified cheer from both KU and KSU fans in Allen Field House when your score was announced. It was the only thing we agreed on all day. You made us proud. Go Big XII!

I heard the quote personally. Marsha sounded like she was "slurring" her words. I think she's "hitting the bottle" again. She, also, referred to Jia Perkins as Jia Davis 8 times during that speech. What's going on? She even said, "I'm sick of all of this polymester (she meant polyester)red and black crap, too."

When replying to quotes, it's easier to understand if you put your comments below the quote, not above it. However, in this case, I still don't understand your comments.

Press, I applaud your compassion and courage in trying, but understanding AirLonghorn may be a futile endeavor. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Congratulations Raiders! It's a great win for you and for the Big 12! We're going to tear it up in the NCAA tournament - as Zo said, it'll be a real eye-opener to the rest of the country.

Way to go...GUNS UP!
Between the job the women have done and the turnaround of the mens, its been quite a season in Lubbock.

Why are some of you folks so hard on this club. I expected TTU to be a little bit better, but given their relative youth and the unexpected twists of this season, I think the Lady Raiders have been exemplary in their play.
They will be something to see in tourney play. As will the entire league

I'm not a prognosticator, AirLonghorn, but rumor has it that there's a "Black Eye Special" somewhere down the line for you http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/tongue.gif. Just out of curiosity, are you the guy that sits across from the other team's bench and has these, ummm, really special cheers? We missed you for awhile and were wondering if you'd been on some sort of really "special" vacation.
