There was a thread a while back about WBB turning profit. There's a current article on ESPN about this very issue.

"Texas Tech, behind only Tennessee in attendance last year, started out selling season tickets door-to-door in 1986. A national championship in 1993 increased interest, and before Bob Knight came to coach the men, the women's program was charging higher corporate sponsor rates than the men."
"The biggest thing is winning. When you have attendance, it's going to be easier to market," said Wayne Shipman, women's basketball marketing coordinator at Texas Tech."
I assume that is means Tech makes some money on wbb, but it doesn't expressly state that.
