Breaking news from the AP this afternoon, in a rare reversal, the HSC (Hoopla! Scoring Committee) has taken away SWOK's 2nd Hoopla! session medal due to a scoring error. In a statement released Tuesday, HoopScoop stated, "Simply put, we are not the IOC" referring to the International Olympic Committee and their unwillingness to correct a scoring error during the gymnastics competition of the recent Summer Olympics. "We also want to apologize to LaToya Davis for short-changing her in her Hoopla! score" HoopScoop continued. Davis had a HPLA score of 16 as a result of her play against Oklahoma State on Saturday. However, due to an error uncovered by an independent firm who checks all scores at the HSC's request (otherwise known as YCN), Davis had been given a score of 0. Now, all session2 participants that had Davis on their team saw their score for session 2 adjusted higher by 16 points. "And we'd like to congratulate Row6Seat10 on the Session 2 win," HoopScoop continued. "And hopefully there's no hard feelings on swok's part. The HSC is just dedicated to being fair. Swok still has a commanding overall lead at this point."

Don't know if ya'll remember, but we will score the overall results using a method to normalize the sessions so they can be compared fairly with one another. If you want the math and discussion, you can click here (http://hoopscoop.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4182&page=2&pp=15&highlight=normalized).

Here's how everyone looks overall. Given we've only played 2 sessions, obviously swok34 leads followed by schooner. And to give a very brief explanation of the overall score......looking at swok34's overall score, you can say that on average, she scores 40.8% (score minus 100) greater than the expected value. The expected value is the value you can't exceed when you construct your team. For session1 that was 73.5 and session 2 that was 72.

I sure hope the Lady Bears finish out the season better than fans of the Lady Bears are doing in Hoopla. We Baylor fans are bringing up the bottom of the Hoopla game. There's much room for improvement!
