UT @ BU: I probably should be convinced about Texas after the Vols game. I'm not. BU by 15+ before a loud, rowdy crowd. A chance for BU to tie for 2nd place and greatly improve on the #18 RPI. I called a blowout here over a month ago and I'm sticking with it. OU is the only team that plays in the dome and doesn't get blown out.

MU @ A&M: Whew, tough call. Sorry Daddo, I have to go with the Lady farmers in a minor upset here.

NU @ OU: I never pick against OU, and this time is no different. NU has picked up some steam, but in Norman it won't matter. OU by 15-20.

ISU @ OSU: Hmmmm. An upset waiting to happen...But it won't. ISU pulls this one out by single digits.

KSU @ KU: Don't let the "@ KU" fool you. KSU will have 2 or 3 times as many fans at the game than there are Jayhawks fans. KSU by double digits.

Wisky @ Tech: Tech will bounce back from tonight and score another big one for the conference in Lubbock. Tech by 7-12.

Well, Big12Bear: I think Texas will squeak out a win when your coach splits open her tight leather pants. Then, "The Southern Baptist Convention" will get involved and try to get her fired for obscenity. Prediction: Texas 78 Baylor 71 (Southern Baptist Convention 1 Robinson 0)

AirLonghorn, you must get your facts straight. The "Southern Baptist Convention" has no jurisdiction over Baylor, and the BGCT does not get involved with such trivial pursuits. BTW, who is this Robinson?

Have a great day, and best of luck to you all on Saturday.

Texas @ Baylor - wow, ESPN2 national coverage.....I think this is "the game" this weekend. KMR's Lady Bears are tough at home and holding their own on the road this year. Texas has proved it can play on the road with the best of them.......Baylor wins.

Missouri @ Texas A & M - ah, maybe this is "the game"....TAMU has the opportunity to catch Missouri and I think they do, have to make this conference as complicated as we possibly can....
TAMU wins

Nebraska @ Oklahoma - now if it were in Lincoln, naw.......Oklahoma runs away with the show. An OU win assures at least a shared conference title....a win assures they will be playing at high noon come Wednesday tourney time.....

Iowa State @ Oklahoma State - hmmmmmm, I just think ISU had all their faultering early and are now on track.....gotta grab that #2 spot and they need to win it out and possibly look to Colorado or Baylor to help them out to secure the #2.
Look for a cyclone to carry out a win(d) in tornado alley. ISU.

Kansas State @ Kansas -I really, really hate seeing a team, any team finish their conference season 0-all......but, it's time for the Wildcats to strut their stuff, need to grab this one before they head off to Boulder......oh, what do you know, these young 'uns are finally getting their week of rest. It is certainly well deserved. Kansas State.

Wisconsin @ Texas Tech - of course I will never vote for another conference to steal one away from the United Spirit Arena, and Texas Tech is going to have to play with a renewed vengeance to prevent their host bubble being busted........Texas Tech.

Predictions:
Texas @ Baylor - Texas
Missouri @ Texas A & M - Texas A&M
Nebraska @ Oklahoma - Oklahoma
Iowa State @ Oklahoma State - Iowa State
Kansas State @ Kansas - Kansas State
Wisconsin @ Texas Tech - Texas Tech

Texas @ Baylor
Just for the record, I agree with Baylor fans that Baylor may be a tougher match-up for Texas than Tennessee. Texas has trouble with teams that have explosive guard play. The Tennessee guards are struggling. Kara Lawson is an excellent guard but she is not that quick, is having back pain, and often plays point but is not a true point. I expect Texas to play Asha Hill to defend Lambert and Hastings to help against Crockrom. These Texas players do not have the scoring averages of the players they sub for, Bowers (or Schreiber) and Cook. On the plus side, Hastings has starting shooting a bit and shooting well. Hill is taking the shots that she must shoot and has hit a couple of big ones.

One thing I don't expect to see is a Baylor blow out like the one we saw last year in Waco. This Texas team has more weapons and lots of fight.

Feb 16:
Texas at Baylor---hold on a minute...gotta flip a coin...heads BU...tails UT...heads...Baylor over Texas

Missouri at Texas A&M---where's that quarter...heads MU...tails A&M...tails...Texas A&M over Missouri

Nebraska at Oklahoma---don't need a coin for this one...it'll be good for OU if Huskers give it all they've got...couple more challenges will get the Sooners sharper...starting to gather head of steam...Oklahoma over Nebraska

Feb 17:
Iowa State at Oklahoma State---last year TTU demolishes OSU...Cowgirls bow up and win a couple including OT at home against BU...this year UT pounds OSU and ...well...thanks alot Longhorns...thanks alot Terry Don...probably got it out of their system...Iowa State over Oklahoma State

Kansas State at Kansas---well you just never know...but most of my upset picks haven't panned out so...Kansas State over Kansas

Wisconsin at Texas Tech---two struggling teams...Wisconsin finally got blowout win Thur against Northwestern...Raiders have me worried about their mindset...don't want to pick this game...just want the crowd to get behind the team and for the players to enjoy the experience

February 16

Texas @ Baylor ........... Jody Royal and the Horns are flying high after beating Tennessee in Knoxville, but this is Waco and its the K-Cars. Its Dani and Sheila's Show. BaylorChrysler wins this one

Baylor 73, Texas 71

Missouri @ Texas A & M...Missouri's now squarely in WNIT territory, Texas A&M's gonna round one of those corners.

Texas A&M 70, Missouri 63

Nebraska @ Oklahoma.....I know that they have Stacey Watts and Laneisha Sims. I know that they have Sherri Switzer.
But I like Keasha Rodgers to make some plays. I see Katie Kinney breaking through the holes, and with solid quarterbacking from Jina Tagge...MAN WOMAN AND CHILD, WE'LL PUT 'EM IN THE AISLES!

Nebraska 65, Oklahoma 61

February 17

Iowa State @ Oklahoma State....OSU is playing for one last hurrah from Lame Duck Halterman, The Twister Sisters won't be a quiet riot.

Iowa State 84, Oklahoma State 62

Kansas State @ Kansas....Hey Halterman, Marian Washington will be keeping you company very, very soon.
The following double-double is paid for the the Kendra Wecker for Freshman All-American Committee

Wecker. The New Kansas Pythoness

Kansas State 87, Kansas 57

and the fun one:

Wisconsin @ Texas Tech...The rumors out of Madison says Joan Albright could be on the way out at Wisconsin.
The facts out of the Lubbock are that TTU is ticked off after losing to Oklahoma State and wanna get their shwerve on at home in this key interconference game.

It's Jia Perkins Time! It's Jia Perkins Time!!!! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Sat. Picks

Baylor http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/bu.gif over Texas.....I have faith! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

A&M over Missouri.....Peggy Gillom had such a look of determination on her face after BU beat them on Wed. night, I would hate to be the team to play them tonight.

Oklahoma over Nebraska.....Sorry Chipper, if NU wins this one I may call on you to help me with some stock picks.

Sun. Picks

Oklahoma State over Iowa State......OSU has some real talent and the motivation to win for Halterman at home might be just right.

Kansas State over Kansas.....Wildcats gonna pluck those jayhawks.

The Fun One

Tech over Wisconsin.....The Lady Raiders are going to have to get on the ball. They have what it takes in Cisti, Jolee, Jia, Amber, Natalie, Candi and Tanishia. If these ladies will just produce like they are capable of, the wins will come. Lubbock is a tough place for anyone to play. Wisconsin ain't chopped liver however!

Baylor: Beating Texas means one more team holding a tiebreaker against ISU falls behind.

I was going to pick A&M, but it seems virtually everyone else has. I'll pick Missouri in a not-so-close game.

"Giant-killer" Nebraska? Not likely today. Oklahoma wins by 20.

ISU over OSU. My team's roll continues on.

KSU over Kansas by at least 35. Purple fans dominate the game.

Tech over Wisconsin. When Wisconsin was top 5, I said they were overrated. Now they are down to the bottom of the top 25, and I no longer think they are overrated. I don't think http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ttu.gif is overrated either, and Tech is rated higher. Throw in homecourt, and I really don't think Tech will lose this game.
