Anybody check out the voting poll on the Official Big 12 site asking who will win the regular season? They allow you to vote for any of the 12 Big 12 teams. Nevermind that it is mathematically impossible for MU, TAMU, NU, OSU, or KU to win the Big 12 regular season title. So, I got a little annoyed and decided to vote for Kansas. And much to my amusement, I was hardly the first person to think of and do this. Out of 416 votes cast so far, a whopping 108 have gone to Kansas. Second only to Oklahoma's 138. Of course, I guess people could be getting confused and thinking they were actually on the men's basketball web page instead http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

So I call on everyone out there, everybody vote for Kansas!!! Lets see if they can overtake Oklahoma in votes!

I saw that......I decided it was a men's poll, too.

Nope. Not a men's poll. They have their own - it's who will get the top seed at the Big 12 Tourney. In other words, it's the same question. And their results are equally as ridiculous. Kansas State leads that poll with 576 votes of 1679. KSU is tied for 2nd to last in the men's standings.

Amusing when not very many people take the poll seriously.

Maybe we should start our own meaningless polls.

Some potential questions could be:
1) Sharpest dressed person on the sidelines
2) Team with craziest fans
3) Coach most likely to receive the next technical foul
4) Most disliked Big 12 referee
5) Best Big 12 basketball band

Well...for #4: Does Sally Belle still officiate for the Big XII? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

And you gotta go with the Court Jesters from Tech for the best band. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

I'm just kiddin' everyone.

#1 would have to go to the gentleman from Iowa State - Cyclone fans and anyone who has been to a game in Ames or the Big XII tourney - will know exactly who I mean!

I second the motion re: the Gentleman from ISU. Great fan.

As to quesion #4, I think it could go to just about any of them, as I have yet to see a SINGLE game well-officiated this year.
