I couldn't find the thread about the Flying Queens and their coach. The reason I was looking was that I just sneaked a peek at Mark's Christmas Present - Sharp's new book. I've only scanned it but it is great! I found the ordering info on the TT web site if you are looking for a Christmas present for yourself.

But what I learned in the intro and didn't remember reading in the Queens thread is that Linden Weese is Dean's little brother! Talk about a school with a deep history of women's BB!

Note: someplace in Mark's video tape library is a copy of an old Marsha Sharp TV show. TT was hosting that Caif. team with someone named Leslie on it. Marsha took those California girls to a country western place where they tried to learn to line dance. Swoops and Leslie line dancing! Now THAT is women's BB history! Grin

Tall Enough To Coach is fun...full of funny stories, lots of serious stories..the whole saga with Pierson, interviews with players and lots of coaching and life wisdom.

She talks a lot about all the things she's done to market LR Ball from kissing pigs, to riding elephants..

It's a good read.


Linden is not only Dean's brother but was coach of a confernece rival when Marsha was coaching at Lockney...
