Oklahoma @ Kansas State --- it's OU's time to shine, no youngsters gonna take away our sunshine...run up and down the court all night long....we ain't as old as we told coach we were.
O K L A H O M A

Baylor @ Texas A & M -- I think this could be a really great game, Texas A & M troubles a lot of folks with their pesky, scrappy defense.....hands on balls, hands in the passing lanes....hey they've won 4, they like how it feels. TAMU just doesn't have the height to keep up with Crockrum & Co....Baylor.

Missouri @ Colorado -- after a loss on the road that ended their 8 game winning streak......they'll be eating Tiger all night long. Colorado.

Nebraska @ Kansas - ah, I thought 2 weeks ago that this might be one game that Kansas could win......but Nebraska has learned they can play together and beat even the top dogs......Nebraska.

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State -- this could also be a good game, depending upon which team shows up on both sides of the ball....
I think Texas Tech needs the win to get the scourge of that loss out of their mouth. Texas Tech.

and the extra game.......heck, what do I have to lose?

http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ut.gif .......the burnt orange team, not that bright orange juice variety.

Oklahoma @ Kansas State
KSU will bounce back, but I really don't think there's a team in the conference nearly as good as OU. The think KSU has going for them is that they are a lot like ISU, and OU has traditionally had problems with ISU. I still pick OU by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

Baylor @ Texas A & M
I agree that this could be a great game. A&M is very good for a team that could get a double-digit seed in the conference tournament. I think Baylor will win. Baylor by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

Missouri @ Colorado
ISU knows how hard it can be to win @ Colorado. Colorado by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

Nebraska @ Kansas
I will laugh really hard if Kansas wins this. They won't, though. Nebraska by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State
Another case of a super 7 team playing @ a bottom 5 opponent who has the capability to upset them. I'm still playing it safe. Tech by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

Texas @ Tennessee
Texas will be fired up for this game, but Tennessee is just too good. Tennessee by 15, pulling away with 10 minutes left.

I am going with all of mred's picks for winners and margin of victory. I just have each team pulling away with 6:38 left in each game.

All visitors, even Texas -- but not pulling away at all.

Visitors except OU. I want to hedge my bet though. If Coach Patterson starts Domenico again I'm going with OU. She is going to be a good player for us and the coaches see things on the floor and in practice that I will never see or understand, but I think starting at the point in the Big 12 for a freshman with no non-conferece playing time due to injuries is just too much to ask. She really is a TRUE freshman and she just has had no playing time to adjust to the rest of the team in game conditions. That having been said I'm just having fun here but I do think KSU and Texas both have a legitimate shot. There are a lot of intangibles in favor of KSU and IF the players can hit some outside shots they just may beat the odds. I don't think OU can or will play tackle basketball with the flair for it that Nebraska has and I don't see the Wildcats playing that pasively again.

Tennessee has the new injury to a starter to contend with on top of some general disarray of late. With my UT's troubles of late that other UT's players may take Texas lightly even if Coach Summit does not. I think Texas is ready to break out into their proper form again. I do not think an upset here is unthinkable even on UT east's floor. UT east may be in the kind of funk that ISU was when the Purple People got them January second.

KSUron - I'm sure you can guess just how much I hope your right about UT West's chances against UT East! Hook 'em!

Feb 13:
Baylor at Texas A&M---Aggies have really stepped it up lately...nothing would surprise me now...Bears better get this one...things don't get easier...Baylor over Texas A&M

Missouri at Colorado---Tigers couldn't get it done against CU at home...can't see them reversing the result in Boulder...Colorado over Missouri

Nebraska at Kansas---could be a tough one...don't know if Huskers can take show on the road...Jayhawks not completely hapless, but outclassed in this league...Nebraska over Kansas

Oklahoma at Kansas State---too bad it's not Nicole Ohlde day...sure the house will be full anyway...these are tough youngsters but...Sooners seniors have that extra bit of determination...they've been hardened by fire...Oklahoma over Kansas State

Feb 14:
Texas Tech at Oklahoma State---Valentine's Day massacre not likely...Tech must win next 3 conference games...Cowgirls have something to prove after debacle in Austin...hope Raiders are road tuff enuf...Texas Tech over Oklahoma State

Oklahoma @ Kansas State---The Game of the Week---Although I think Oklahoma is the stronger team, I have to give the advantage to the new kids on the block---Kansas State

Baylor @ Texas A & M---Another battle in the Lone Star State---Got to go with the Bears---Baylor

Missouri @ Colorado---Colorado's still upset about their loss in Ames---Look out Tigers---Colorado

Nebraska @ Kansas---Nebraska still on a high from their amazing win. They will overlook Kansas potential. 1st win for Kansas

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma State---Sorry OSU, you just don't have what it takes this time of the year to beat the Raiders---Texas Tech
