I'm going to Nebraska-Iowa State football in November. I haven't been to Ames as a fan in years so I need to find out what's what on a gameday in Ames, where to find the really good Cyclone gear, where to go after the game, and are any of the HoopScoop Cloners going?

Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated...Thanks :)

Others could add better things than I but I wanted to add a couple things. Many will say Hickory Park restuarant as a place to go, but a gameday Saturday could make it a pretty long wait. I am a clone hoopscooper who will be at the game and it would an honor to meet you Chipper. Like I said earlier others may have better answers to the other questions.

chipper - as always, myself and isu3ptland are in town as well. we are not going to the game (i refuse to pay that much for isu football until a quality product appears on the field - in other words, a team that is competitive now and then), but would still be happy to help out if we can with anything. let us know...

I'd still recommend Hickory Park despite the wait. Just get there early.

Best place for top-notch ISU gear is probably T-Galaxy in Campustown. Generally expensive but they sometimes have good deals or coupons.

Best place for cheap ISU gear is probably Strawberry Patch at the mall. Prices are really cheap compared to T-Galaxy, but you aren't going to get the best stuff there.

How long are you planning to stay? ISU WBB has an exhibition game at 2pm the next day.

Hey Chipper I'll be at the game if you want to try and meet someplace. Well I'll at least be there untill after halftime. I usally leave after the 2nd fumble, missed kick or interception. I know I'm not a good fan but after last year and this year I'm having Walden flashbacks without the razzle dazzle. Women's basketball can not get her fast enough.

...Come On, a little Cyclone Pride is in Order, ..things are starting to fall in place, the quarterback, the kicker, Scales and Hicks are both running well, and the defense last weekend...I predict... one of our guys will rush for better than 250 YARDS, (yes you heard right) Ya, got'a Believe. :p And I believe that Iowa State Women are going to finish ahead of Kansas State this year. It's going to happen !!

It's here!!! Finally!!!!

To any Hoopscoop Cloners at the game..I'm leaving early to do some tailgatin'

Where's Chipper???

Look for a 5'10" 170 mocha skinned handsome (okay i'm biased) man in stylish glasses with brown rims wearing a slightly oversized Iowa State sweatshirt, sky azure jeans, and cobalt/red addidas crosstrainers...

I hope to meet at least one of you!!! :)
