Tried to email you, but admin@hoopscoop.net was undeliverable!
The message was:
Do you need help compiling HoopLa stats? I would be more than happy to help in anyway I can, as I'm sure would others. I happen to have the time, having recently retired (I may unretire, but not before basketball season is over).
If there's anything I can do, let me know - no job too menial.

Yeah, sorry. Someone keeps finding these email addresses and sends me a bunch of spam. So I terminate the email address.

Yep, I give up. Pressures at work are just too much right now and I just don't have much time to keep up with all the work at HoopScoop. Shoot, I've even missed a few OU games, GASP!
So, here's what I need. I can keep Interactive Stats going and I can also provide Hoopla! scores on all Big 12 players after each session of games. It doesn't take me too long to do both those tasks. What does take a long time is compiling everyone's team of 5 players and adding up the scores.
So, Cory, soonerman, and whoever else wants to help.... Go to the Hoopla! page (http://hoopscoop.net/big12wbb/hoopla.html) and there you will find links to boxscore results for each session (like January 11th and January 8th). In the boxscore results is a column for Hoopla! score. So, just take those scores and add up everyone's team results and post. Cory and soonerman can verify one another's results. Everyone should calculate their own team score after each session to make sure Cory and soonerman get it right. I will also verify when I get the time to make my own calculations.
Also, someone needs to make sure and verify each team submitted is a valid team given the Hoopla! rules.....like no more than one "pure" point guard or "pure" post, etc. Or make sure everyone has a point guard.
Sorry, but even this hobby has to take a backseat to other priorities in my life at times, unfortunately.

This is not an earthshaking deal, but it appears to me that we may have the steals and blocks categories reversed in our interactive stats. It came to my attention because I was aware that Ohlde had more than 19 blocks and Wecker surely had more than 6 steals. When I checked the KSU stats it turned out that for those two players the blocks and steals numbers are reversed. That is Wecker has 6 blocks and 31 steals & Ohlde has 37 blocks and 19 steals. Maybe this is true for other players also. The nice thing is it does not affect the Hoopla! scores. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I would not doubt this. I've been having to deal with this for a while because in boxscores steals and turnovers are listed one way and in overall statistics, they are listed in a different order. You are right, this will not affect Hoopla! scores at all.
Well, no biggie Commisioner. Its not worth a lot of work to change. In fact I consider it more of a curiosity than anything else. It just caused a little confusion on my part. When I figured out what the deal was I thought maybe others were curious about the same issue.
I wish they would list things in the same order all the time. Thanks for your efforts.
OK, I want to help, but as my Hoopla!
scores prove, I am a bit inconsistent.
I am a salaried employee that can work
50-60 hours a week. It should not take
me very long to compile scores after
the stats page is updated. I will do it
if I am at home. No fun stuff at work.
