Ok, don't think I've ever posted on a "picks" post, so I'll give it a whirl.
2/5-
Oklahoma over Baylor - OU defense will prevail in what should be a good game
Kansas State over Mizzou - KSU gets back on track and takes out some frustrations
Oklahoma State over A&M - A&M comes back down to earth after doing the 'unthinkable' again
2/6-
Colorado over Nebraska - NU's woes continue, tho Cannon could keep them in it late
Iowa State over Kansas - the losing streak at Lawrence ends at two (it had better!!)
Texas Tech over Texas - two teams heading in opposite directions, Tech up and UT down
2/9-
Texas Tech over Baylor - rugged south division hands BU another loss
Iowa State over Colorado (ESPN2 @ 2pm CST) - payback for January 23rd
Mizzou over Kansas - just what Missouri needs to end the losing streak
Oklahoma over A&M - Aggies not going to do anything surprising off their home court
Texas over Oklahoma State - UT finds the winning formula again
2/10-
Kansas State over Nebraska - Sanderford needs to start showing his young talent can play with the better teams. this probably won't be where it happens

Baylor at Oklahoma - always a good, fun game...run and gun basketball at it's best. Oklahoma knows you have to win the ones at home to stay alive in this league. Question of the game: does Roz' get back on track, having strayed since the last Baylor game? Don't know, but I think Caufield is due for a break-out; been kinda quiet the last 2. Oklahoma wins.
Kansas State at Missouri - yikes, Tigers.......glad it's you and not OU this week......Kansas State.
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State - hmmmmm, what's all this talk in our OK press about OSU thinking they have a chance to make the NCAA's?......NIT, quite possibly, but they need to start winning the ones at home. They don't let this one slip away...Oklahoma State.
Nebraska at Colorado - I don't know a soul that wants to visit Colorado in February. Unfortunately, Nebraska is getting them at their best.......Colorado.
Iowa State at Kansas - hmmmm, could Kansas actually win a game, they certainly have had ISU's number the last 2 years; especially in Kansas. I think ISU is finally feeling that sense of urgency that they need to win the rest to have any chance at a bye on Tuesday in KC.......Kansas just doesn't have the personnel to get the job done this year........Iowa State.
Texas at Texas Tech -- youch! Texas comes in on a 3 game losing slide, Texas Tech drops a tough one to the Buffaloes at home...
This game could go either way, could go into 1 OT or a couple; they play fierce battles these 2......Texas Tech wins.

Tues Feb 5
Baylor at Oklahoma - Oklahoma
Kansas State at Missouri - Kansas St
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State - Oklahoma St (I can't see A&M winning a road game)
Wed Feb 6:
Nebraska at Colorado - Colorado
Iowa State at Kansas - Iowa State
Texas at Texas Tech - Texas. The Horns have lost 2 close home games and a game on the road to A&M which they never, never, ever should have lost. The Horns are just going to have to gut it up and pull out a couple of games they aren't favored to win.

Tues Feb 5:
Baylor at Oklahoma; Baylor payback (besides, Feb. 13 OU/KSU showdown SHOULD be for undisputed first place)
Kansas State at Missouri; KSU, building for Feb. 13
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State; OSU, Aggie helter-skelter doesn't play on road
Wed Feb 6:
Nebraska at Colorado; CU win streak reaches 8
Iowa State at Kansas; ISU -yawn
Texas at Texas Tech; Tie, game called after 6 OT as 2 zebras drop from exhaustion --- actually, I guess I must pick Tech

2/5 games:
Ross was 8/14 and 5/11 from the arc in Waco. Will she rebound from her recent slump? Prediction is yes. Looks like Dales will also power up if needed.
Regardless, at LNC, think the Sooner Women have more firepower than the Lady Bears. Expect both to be over 74 with OU winning by 10---85-75
KSU @ Mizzou--- Now this could be interesting. Been predictng a fall after that armor gets dented and chinked up. Lady Tigers can be tough at home. Key is if KSU jumps up early or has to play catch up. Want to call it a toss up but think KSU will win by 3--- 78-75
Another mid-major little war. Will OSU keep their cool with the frantic wild Aggies? If Hawkins keeps it cool, OSU will win by 18.
If not, A&M by 5
Gotta think the Galligher/Iba Orange people provide the passion to pull together. OSU 69--A&M 58
2/6 games:
Calista chokes up her first two chicken wings, the altitude makes her a bit queazy and Mandy hits 2 35 footers in the first 4 minutes. CU rocks on and the streak stays alive. CU 77 NU 58
ISU coasts to an easy victory. Kansas keeps their streak alive. The lack of apparent emotion on the floor is sickening.
ISU 82 KU 51
This game comes down to the better coach as both teams have faltered as of late. Maybe it comes down to the team with the most character. Either way, USA will be loud and helpful. This actually could get downright ugly as the Lady Raiders start hot and stay hot, Ayers battles Stephens to a draw, Jia wakes up, and Candi gets 9 assists and 0 turnovers. Lady horns not that lucky ----They won't be able to tell Amber from Red and Black.
TECH 77-- UT 60

Tues Feb 5:
Baylor at Oklahoma........Baylor is at the perfect pitch for this game, but in Norman against a sound Oklahoma team, not even Lambert-Crockrum may be enough.
Oklahoma 83, Baylor 74
Kansas State at Missouri.....another road test for those Powerpuff Girls. I don't think Missouri has enough Mojo Jojo to stop 'em..
Kansas State 72, Missouri 59
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State....Call me crazy, but I think the Aggies will walk into Stillwater and walk out with a nice win.
Texas A&M 72, Oklahoma State 70
Wed Feb 6:
Nebraska at Colorado......Colorado's on a serious roll. 7 straight scalps and counting. This game could be very embarassing for Husker fans like myself. In a rather grotesque way, I want Mandy and Jenny to run the score up to an obscene amount. Anything to get Sanderford fired this season.
Colorado 85, Nebraska 55
Iowa State at Kansas....Iowa State will look to destroy Kansas, especially after last season. Lindsey, Angie and company are going to score a lot, just to be sure.
Iowa State 101, Kansas 56
Texas at Texas Tech....GUNS UP, Texas Tech, saddle up Jia and give 'em heck!
Hook 'em horns, burnt Orange pride, Texas Tech has nada inside
Texas 75, Texas Tech 74

Baylor over Oklahoma....call me crazy, but I think the Lady Bears are due for a win in Norman. Danielle should prove to be the difference in this game. She has not been putting up the numbers that she is capable of and the time is NOW! Baylor's defense is in overdrive and if they can keep it there, they can win this one. The Bears are a much better team than when they first played. If it keeps the fans away, thank you Lord for the snow! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/snowflake.gif
Kansas State over Missouri....this will be a good game, but KSU should win this one if they continue to play as a team.
Texas A&M over Oklahoma State....Rose and Williams will carry the Aggies from the perimeter. They will need contain Skibbe.
Feb 6
Colorado over Nebraska....quality team play prevails big time.
Iowa State over Kansas....?????!!!!!!!
Texas Tech over Texas....JOLEE AYERS may be the difference in this game if she plays like she did Sunday. Perkins and Tarr heat up and should proved to be too tough for the horns. Must Win...Home crowd will be ROCKIN!

Trying to predict in the un-predictible Big XII!
Feb. 5:
BU @ OU: For those fans worried about the weather - don't be! It's above freezing in Norman and as of 11:28am nothing is sticking to the ground - so, get here and be loud and proud - http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ou.gif by 10!
KSU @ MU: 'Cats bounce back by 12
A&M @ OSU: nothing much to write home about in Stillwater - but they did upset KSU.....A&M by 2
Feb. 6:
NU @ CU: Colorado is on a Rocky Mountain High by 10
ISU @ KU: "Marian, stop this crazy thing!" Clones by 20
UT @ TT: who can guess which teams show up - I'll take the home team by 3 in double OT
Feb. 9:
TT @ BU: could be a good game - or unBearable -- Baylor by 8
CU @ ISU: "Let's Twist Again, like we did last year" ISU by 6
KU @ MU: Mizzou by 20
A&M @ OU: "just another brick in the road" OU by 15
OSU @ UT: the battle of the orange will to the Horns
Feb. 10:
KSU @ NU: not enough luck in Lincoln - KSU by 12
Big12Bear

BU at OU: OU wins by 9-13 points, but the Lady Bears will not make it easy.
UT at TT: Wow. I think Tech will be up for revenge. Neither team is coming off of a good game, but Tech will win at home but by single digits.
TT at BU: For those Big 12 fans out there who don't know, Tech owns us like no other in womens hoops. I think they have beaten us like 30+ times in a row. This is our best chance to beat them in I don't know how long. There should be a decent crowd since the men are hosting Mizzou in a nationally televised game on ESPN that night.
Having said that, BU will finally break the stranglehold Tech has on us and win a close one. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/bu.gif
CU at ISU: Colorado is playing some seriously good ball right now. My upset special of the week, Colorado makes it 2 huge road upsets in a row, beating ISU in Ames by a whisker.

two cents

Feb 5:
Baylor at Oklahoma---should be a fun one...Bears match up with OU better than most...Sooners still more versatile...Oklahoma over Baylor
Kansas State at Missouri---Wildcats have proven a lot and will have the best team on the floor...thought Tigers had lost confidence...evidently not...a win here and two more in regular season puts Mizzou on NCAA bubble (at least 7-9 conf., 2 top25 wins)...Stein may have these kids whipped into a frenzy...could play above their heads and surprise...Missouri over Kansas State
Texas A&M at Oklahoma State---Aggie press could definitely spell trouble for OSU...Cowgirls have to use home court to move up in standings...press break should be ready...Oklahoma State over Texas A&M
Feb 6:
Nebraska at Colorado---thought Huskers would show more last time out...Buffs humming along...Colorado over Nebraska
Iowa State at Kansas---would like to say Bill gets a vacation...but even when down KU has been a pest for ISU...may or may not be a breeze but either way Cyclones need this one...Iowa State over Kansas
Texas at Texas Tech---JK said it: both teams desperate for a W...both teams have changed some from last contest...hope Raiders have learned more in intervening games...Texas Tech over Texas

Texas Tech at Baylor -- Baylor plays tough at home, sure to be a crowd to cheer 'em on.....4 losses to Colorado's 3.....they aim to keep up with them.....Baylor.
Colorado at Iowa State ----hmmmmm, I don't think Iowa State drops another game, they can't afford to if they want to duke it out with the top of the Big XII. Iowa State squelches the Colorado run of 8 wins in a row.
Kansas at Missouri - may actually be a barnburner kind of game, but I doubt a Missouri team at home is gonna lose to the bottom of the rung Kansas. Just don't think Kansas has the personnel this year. Missouri wins.
Texas A&M at Oklahoma - ok, Stacey Dales and Co., this team that has forever claimed stake to the bottom rung can be dangerous, especially to any team that overlooks them.....like OSU. If their offense is flowing, they can compete.....I don't think this OU team has plans of overlooking "any" opponent this year.
The starters get some much-need rest for the Wednesday showdown,
got a bunch of young'uns to take care of.....and the bench gets valuable minutes....Oklahoma.
Oklahoma State at Texas -- while they won't overlook Texas, Oklahoma State just doesn't have the road sense it will take to win this game.....and Texas has to break that 4-game losing streak.....Texas
Kansas State at Nebraska -- can you say double OT, run until you drop kind of game? nope, sure wish it were true, though......
make 'em play Huskers, make 'em play hard, please http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
Kansas State.

What a season this is, as we push through the Big 12 Ardennes!
Sat Feb 9:
Texas Tech at Baylor.....The Red Raiders showed their grit and did their bit to beat Texas. Shame on me for picking Texas. Baylor is at home, and they can bring the goods and what will be another close one. I see another pitfight between these two. The difference will be Crockrum here. Danielle always gets her shot.
Baylor 66, Texas Tech 64
Colorado at Iowa State.....Vichy Colorado is hotter than a diva in a Paris nightclub. 8 in a row??? Oh-la-la!!!!!!! But this group is headed to the silos of ICBM State, however ICBM State isnt the same right now. Still a little unsettled, and it will show.
Take the Buffs to show their stuff.
Colorado 81, Iowa State 76
Kansas at Missouri......Missouri gets one of this week's breathers. Kansas however showed up better against Iowa State. The Jayhawks have their sites sets on February 13th and the second leg of the Enron Cup vs. Nebraska
Missouri 65, Kansas 50
Texas A&M at Oklahoma.....Those amazin' Aggies now head to Norman. No Gig 'em at this gig. Oklahoma's locked on to their meeting with the Powerpuff Girls next week.
Oklahoma 76, Texas A&M 55
Oklahoma State at Texas.....Texas Fight! Texas Fight! But Tech did us in again. Texas Fight! Texas Fight! Jia Perkins was it my friend.
I see a Cowgirl upset and a Longhorn Letdown.
Oklahoma State 65, Texas 64
Sun Feb 10:
Kansas State at Keasha Cannon....One player can't beat an entire team. And KSU is a very good entire team.
Kansas State 73, Keasha Cannon 27

A reminder to everyone: Fox Sports has picked some really strange games to televise (like both ISU-Nebraska games) but there is an actual good game televised this weekend: Colorado @ ISU. Why is a decent game on TV? Because it's on ESPN2. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
My picks:
Tech over Baylor: gut feeling that Tech will play much better Saturday
ISU over Colorado: Sticking with my home team
Missouri over Kansas: Will Kansas win another game this season? Of their five games remaining, this is their second-best chance (they play Nebraska @ home). Unfortunately for KU, Missouri is a whole lot better than Kansas. I'd give KU a 20% shot if this were a home game, but it's not.
Oklahoma over A&M: There's a chance (there's always a chance) but it won't happen
Texas over OSU: See OU-A&M, although OSU has a better shot than A&M.
Nebra...I mean Kansas State over Nebraska: http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif This is my choice for biggest margin of victory among this weekend's games.

Sat Feb 9:
Texas Tech at Baylor
...oooh tough to call. The Lady Bears are always tough at home and have two of the best players in the country. I think this will be a barnburner of a game. Tech by 2.
Colorado at Iowa State
Colorado...they're on a roll, they now know they can win on the road
Kansas at Missouri
Missouri...KU continues the downward spiral
Texas A&M at Oklahoma
OU by a mile
Oklahoma State at Texas
OSU...if OSU plays Texas like they played Tech, I think they have a chance
Sun Feb 10:
Kansas State at Nebraska
K-State by a mile

Feb 9:
Texas Tech at Baylor---it may be a bad pick but...can't Bear the thought of Tech losing another game at this point in the season---Texas Tech over Baylor
Colorado at Iowa State---both teams gaining momentum...Cyclones capable of returning favor at home and need to do it---Iowa State over Colorado
Kansas at Missouri---Tigers cannot even think about losing this one---Missouri over Kansas
Texas A&M at Oklahoma---once again Sooners likely to turn ball over a bunch...once again it won't matter in the least---Oklahoma over Texas A&M
Oklahoma State at Texas---if Longhorns scrap like they did Wed night, slump will be over---Texas over Oklahoma State
Feb 10:
Kansas State at Nebraska---Chipper's convinced me...Huskers have lost heart...I'm sorry to see it---Kansas State over Nebraska

2/9 games:
The Lady Mulksters are awful tough at the Ferrell Center. Will be full and loud. TTU is coming off a huge and emotional win. BU needs to win after OU and TTU needs to win for their season to keep moving positively forward. I am going against my better judgment here and picking Tech by 3.
I just have a hunch the Buff's will play a little better D and ISU will clunk a few more three's. CU in a back and forth war by 4.
KU keeps their streak alive---Mizzou by 13
Aggies are having their best year in years----the fun is over today for them----OU 79 A&M 55
OSU has been up and down, Texas has been going downward----Crowd will be sparse and OSU battles out a big road win in the war of the oranges. OSU 66- UT 60
2/10 game
Gotta go with swok34 here----Make your Chipper proud and fight, scrath and claw all day. Keep it close until the better team wins, just make 'en play hard and all day.
