Colorado Non-Con Schedule

The Buffs' non-conference schedule is not as easy as one might think given the loss of four seniors plus two defections following last season. The 18th annual Coors Classic will feature four teams that participated in last season's NCAA tourney. The Buffs will host LSU, Maryland and Penn on Nov. 26-27. LSU was a Final Four participant.

Also of note on the home schedule are Colorado State and Creighton.

That's about the toughest Coors Classic field that I can remember. It will be interesting to see how this new, young version of the Buffs fares in that.

The rest of the pre-season schedule is easier and should help build team confidence.

I agree with Bebe that the Coors Classic is about the toughest since Louisiana Tech was here for the tournament back in 95 or 96 when they were ranked #1 in the country.

The Creighton, Colorado State and Washington games will also be tough.

I am going to go to the tournament in Reno. Not a bad place to spend a couple of days.

I agree that this is a decent enough schedule given the graduations and departures that hit the Buffs after last season. The Coors Classic features a very group of schools that I would enjoy seeing.

Creighton vs. the Vichies? Bring it on!

That will be about an even game. CU lost a great backcourt, but their understudies are good. The Buffs lost their size and two young players that are highly skilled.

It would be great to have a team from the homeland beat Vichy Colorado in Vichy Colorado.
