Interesting article on two fronts.

One, it really looks like Bonnie's got a plan in place and those that have stayed have bought into that plan. I'm curious as to how long the turnaround process will take.

Two, the picture that it paints of Marian and her staff is not pretty. We all know the on the court results, but it looks like the behind the scenes stuff like recruiting had been ignored or just done incompetently for awhile. We had the same thing here with Kevin Steele, our old football coach. Once he was gone, there were many reports from high school coaches around the state that they hadn't seen or heard from a Baylor coach in years, even though they had kids who had some interest. Looks like some of the high school kids up there had the same experience with the Jayhawks staff.

I'm really curious from the chicken/egg perspective. Did the losing get so bad that Marian and staff just gave up on the program and let things go, or did they drop the ball on the recruiting and discipline first, and that caused the results on the court?

I've certainly admired Marian for her ability to take on kids who few would, because she seemed to have had success in helping them.

I kinda thought Bonnie would be pretty tough....and I'm glad to see it. Kudos to kids like Larisha Graves for hanging in and adapting to a completely new system.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard it mentioned that the manner in which an opposing team was treated up in Kansas was horrible. Now that was probably 3 or 4 years ago and may have changed since then.
