I have never been to the tourney but last year I sure did appreciate all the games being shown. Are they doing that again this year? Who is showing it? Who are the on-air people? I sure did like that first guy last year and the red head. She is smart. The middle guy was a hack but at least the red head tried to help him. The last people were good too, they do all the Fox games. Thanks for any help you can give me? I figured this is a good place to ask.

Fox will be showing all of the games except the first round, according to http://www2.big12sports.com/new/wbball/sport_champions/the website</a>

Okay, I can't wait to ask. So who is going to K.C? I am for all rounds and my wife will join me for the semis and championship game.

And we can start kicking around ideas if anybody would like to get together and meet.

This will be my first Big XII (12) tournament! I am not going to make the first round and hopefully Baylor will get a bye and won't have to play on Tuesday. I'll be there for the rest of it however. Sounds like it will be a blast. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn, just a block from Municipal Auditorium. It would be great to meet you all if possible.

Afraid I won't be making it. The logistics just don't work out. It was easier when I was within driving distance and didn't have a real job. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I'm going for Wednesday's and Thursday's games and coming home to watch the Saturday night game on TV.....gotta save my pennies for San Antonio......staying at the Fairfield Inn about 2 miles south of the arena. Zo, how did you get a room at the Holiday Inn??...we tried last Friday and all that was left downtown were suites at the Doubletree.

I have already received my tickets. At ticketmaster, they let you purchase "per session" tickets. Couldn't even get reserved for Thursday nite, though. I'm afraid that Wildcat Horde may buy up the place, so I made sure I got mine.

Could we meet on Thursday this time, since there are no games during the day? It seems last year that one of our local cable channels (Cox Channel 3) also showed the 1st round games.....I made sure I emailed them and thanked them http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

This will be my second tourny. Leaving the family at home and enjoying all sessions.

Swok34, I first spoke with the hotel receptionist and she said there were no available rooms. I asked to speak with the special events coordinator and told him that I understood that a block of rooms were reserved for the Big 12 tournament and he told me 5 rooms were still available....so I grabbed one. I think most hotels do that for certain events. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

This will be my 3rd Tournament. Will be there starting on Tuesday even if the Bears get a bye. Will stay at least through Friday. Bad luck that Nebraska comes to Waco for a three game baseball series that Weekend; will just have to miss one or more of the best college baseball games of the year; shouldn't have any trouble getting rid of the box seats.

That red head is smart. She is none other than native Minnesotan and former Lady Raider, Chrystal Boles. Chrystal is doing color analysis for the Tech home games this year in addition to holding down a job teaching 3rd graders. I have a hunch from the way your post is written, you may already know this information....

She certainly was gentle in clearing up some of the confusion for that one announcer. Teaching math to 3rd graders probably helped her cultivate that deft touch.

I think the first round broadcasts were produced by College Sports Southeast or someting along those lines. The broadcasts were made available to local affiliates. I hope the same thing is done this year.

Thank you for the help. The Big 12 site was helpful. I found where it will be shown on FOX. Like I said before, I have never been to the tournament and last year was the first time I saw it. It's good for my daughters to see really good games and it can be very exciting. I did not know Chrystal Boles is a teacher. That's interesting to know what people are like. Does anyone know the names of the other people? I have not seen them again and I enjoyed their games. I'm glad FOX will show the games, they do good.
