My computer poll, available http://mred.sytes.net/wbb.htmlhere</a>
5 Oklahoma
10 Colorado
12 Iowa State
13 Kansas State
16 Baylor
20 Texas Tech
32 Texas
71 Missouri
82 Oklahoma State
108 Nebraska
152 Texas A&M (one spot above TAMU-CC)
252 Kansas (according to my poll, the highest ranked team Kansas has defeated this season is #154 Alabama State).
AP and ESPN polls aren't out yet, but there are a few Big XII teams right behind Wisconsin in each poll from last week, so expect those B12 teams to get a boost from Wisconsin's freefall.
Interesting... to say the least. ISU gets beaten by Texas, and gets SPANKED at home by Tech. Yet and still, you rank them 8 places above Tech and 20 places above Texas?!

Operative word: computer.
This is an unbiased poll using a computer formula I put together last season. It takes into account location of game, margin of victory, and strength of opponent. My personal opinion does not factor into this (nor does the opinion of anybody else). This is not exactly an abnormal occurance, as collegerpi.com has ISU #9, Tech #12, and Texas #13. They also have Tennessee #1 despite their two losses (while mine has UConn #1 and Tenn #2).

Stanford is the new #2.
The Cardinal (22-1) moved within one spot of the top after Tennessee, which had been ranked second all season, lost to Vanderbilt in Nashville. Stanford has not been this high in the poll since it was No. 1 the first six weeks of the 1996-97 season.
Tennessee (18-2) dropped to third in the voting by a national media panel. The Lady Vols' only other loss was to Connecticut.
The Huskies, who later beat Providence 85-61, had 1,110 points, Stanford received 1,027 and Tennessee 994. UConn has been ranked No. 1 all season and has been unanimous the last five weeks.
4 Oklahoma
10 Baylor
11 Kansas State
12 Iowa State
13 Colorado
15 Texas Tech
17 Texas
Iowa State's jump of four places was matched by Colorado, Boston College and Minnesota. Each won twice last week
Georgia and Texas both fell three places. Georgia bounced back from its loss to Mississippi State to beat Kentucky. Texas lost twice, to Kansas State in two overtimes and to Texas A&M.

ah, just as I thought how the Top 5 would come out......the coaches seemed to have been more generous where OU has been concerned, is that true of the rest of the Big XII?

yep, the coaches were more generous.......now if only we could find a way to jinx Stanford http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif........I don't think it's gonna happen in the PAC-10. It's nowhere close to the topsy-turvey race the Big 12 or the SEC is.

Way to go Minnesota! Talk about a complete turn-around! I was talking with Stacy Frese's cousin who went to the Iowa-Minnesota game to see Stacy's sisters coach the Minnesota team, and apparently Iowa wouldn't announce the Minnesota assistant coaches, because they didn't want to announce the name 'Frese.'(Marsha isn't married yet.) Talk about animosity!
The WBBALL-L email list poll:
4 Oklahoma
10 Kansas State
11 Baylor
12 Colorado
13 Iowa State
15t Texas Tech
17 Texas
Oklahoma is well-deserving of their #3 ranking! I certianly hope they make it to the Final Four!!! (Unless they play UT in the NCAA Tourney http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif -- which I doubt will happen).
