Had not planned to go to Norman for the OU-BU rematch since tomorrow is the scheduled opening day for Baseball. 100% chance of rain tomorrow evening in Waco gives me the opportunity to see the Bears and Sooners again.
1. Are good seats available? How best to obtain them? (I tried to go to the OU athletic site but couldn't get through to the purchasing site.)
2. How's the weather forecast? Don't mind getting back to Waco about 2 a.m., but can't be stranded in Oklahoma all night.

My experience driving to Norman in cold weather leads me to believe that the forecast as now predicted will not cause you much, if any, problems in returning after the game. I-35 has so much traffic and it isn't that cold, will prevent any impassable condition from arising.
But, I would check the weather tomorrow at 9 or 10 to be sure. I am not a meterorologist, just a bball fan that drives up and back alot.

bear.....I wouldn't think you would have problems getting a decent ticket. On a Tuesday night with snow forecasted, no doubt......
I have an extra ticket and have a friend that has 2.....if the weather is not good, she won't drive from NW Okla City....meaning if you don't mind sitting amongst OU fans (which you may)...you are most welcome to the extra ticket I have. If you need the 2 others, I would of course, need to check first to be sure she's not coming to the game.....you would need to buy GA tickets, but could use the seats (as I don't see myself driving the 25 miles to retrieve the tickets http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif.....Let me know, would be glad to help if you are interested.
The weather......I hear it's supposed to snow anywhere from 1 - 4 inches sometime between Tuesday noon and Wednesday AM.....????
and that's limited primarily to central and southern Oklahoma.

Swok--
That's mighty gratious. No, I wouldn't mind sitting among OU fans. (From my user name, you might deduce that, in addition to following BU sports, I am also a Redskin fan. Some of my most fond memories are from games in Philly and in N.Y.)
I wouldn't want you to lose face with your friends; I wouldn't classify me as in any way an obnoxious fan; I'd never try to denegrate the lady Sooner basketball players, but it will be obvious where my loyalties lie: I'll be loud and I'll be Gold. Now, if the offer is still available for a total of two tickets, I'd love to take you up on it.
I've checked the forecast and it doesn't look too foreboding at this time. Not worried about a little snow, I grew up in Northern Virginia.

Bear Skin,
I'm in Dallas and have season GA tickets. I'm not going to be able to make the game, so I too have some to spare if you'd want to work out a way to get them.
I work very near the North entrance to the airport, maybe not the most convenient place to pick them up. Email me if you're interested. I have plenty to spare. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it to Norman as often as I hoped.
Since you're a Redskin fan, you've gotta be a decent person so I have no problem sharing. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Stephen Alexander is from the same town as I, so I usually root for the 'Skins myself.

Thank you for the thought; however, GA tickets are only $8.00 each in Norman ($10.00 in Waco!)I think I'll begoing straight up 35W and would rather fork over $16.00 to OU than take the extra time. Thanks again. By the way, with advance notice I can usually get excellent seats in the Ferrell Center and at Baylor Ballpark if the event isn't expected to be a near sell out.

bear, you are most welcome to my one ticket and I'm checking with this friend of mine.....it may only be her, so she would have an extra. Send me your email address to swok34@swbell.net and I'll
give you the particulars and let you know what I find on the extra ticket; probably will not know until this evening.....
We are pretty loud and proud down in our area, actually they threatened to tape my mouth shut at the Kansas game for yelling, "go blue"..... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Kansas was really bad, kinda felt sorry for 'em.
but when I tell 'em we may hit you up to purchase us some tickets next year for us in Waco, I'm sure they'll be appreciative.
