Sat, Feb 2:
Kansas (0-9) @#4 Oklahoma (7-1)........Do we really have to play this one?
Oklahoma 92, Kansas 50

#14 Texas (6-3) @Texas A&M (2-6)........Texas A&M could catch Texas napping, but I don't see it. Stephens is on her next roll

Texas 82, Texas A&M 62

#16 Iowa State (4-5) @#9 Kansas State (8-1).....The Cat Kidettes bagged a double-overtime thrill ride in Austin. They could be PUI, the crowd in New Clay Center won't let 'em

Kansas State 82, Iowa State 78 (OT)

Oklahoma State (3-5) @#10 Baylor (5-3)...Baylor was at their larceny best vs. Nebraska. They'll do more of the same to Oklahoma State

Baylor 77, Oklahoma 59

Missouri (3-5) @Nebraska (2-6)...The last time these two teams play Missouri embarassed Nebraska. This time its in Lincoln in a game that could relegate Missouri to WNIT status.
I have a feeling this will be a "Cuci" afternoon. Charo Jones has a rare good game when it counts.

Monica Lewinsky University 69, Missouri 65

Sun, Feb 3:
#17 Colorado (6-3) @#13 Texas Tech (5-4)........Now this is a good game. Vichy Colorado against those Lady Raiders ranked real high. The Buffs guards have really brought the goods, but I think the key will be Colorado's inside game. If Hartshorn and Bjorklund both can have big games, it'll be all about black and gold.
Problem is, can Nightingale and Roulier contain Jia Perkins? No.
Can Britt Hartshorn bring the focus every game? No.
Is Tera Bjorklund out of the doghouse? No.

Texas Tech 76, Colorado 70

Saturday February 2nd
Oklahoma
Texas
Kansas State
Misourri
and I may regret this, but OSU is playing great defensive bb and is due to upset someone. Hope it is Baylor and not us.
OSU in a low scoring game.

February 3,
I don't think TTU has won a Sunday game all year, but hop this will break the jinx. TTU in a squeaker.

Chipper---just gotta ask---is it Cuci or Cuchi or Coochie???

Don't think KU will get to 50. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/ou.gif 90- KU 46 Let the Big dog eat!!!

Will be interesting to see how the youngsters rebound against a great team after a double OT emotional trip. Will Junod be back? Will she be on? Just gotta think after that war in Austin, having to stay over, the travel problems and emotion of the victory,,,,,will the "little" or is "young" better, ones be tardy in their arrival. If they are, ISU will get up on them early and the hill will be too high to climb, even with the crowd. ISU 77 KSU 70

OSU shot their emotional wad at Bedlam and will be smoked by the
Lady Bears in Waco. I warned you guys early about Blackmon. She is getting 15 or so a game. Look for 21 from her and 18 from Crockrom. Don't worry about Lambert. BU 81- OSU 69

Calista eats again,,,she has been hungry but shy about her intake. Cuci, coochie, cuchi or whatever keeps on coming and Cannon plays a great game. NU 71 Mizzou 60

Sunday:

This will be a war. CU is back on track, Roulier has gained her confidence. I truly have not a clue but think the "Sharper Image" will sneak out a victory. Maybe Casey Jackson and Ritchie and Ayers, old Texas Flyers, 3 time consecutive AAU National champs will lead the way. Throw in Perkins for grins. TTU 77 CU 75 (OT)

Kansas (0-9) @#4 Oklahoma (7-1) OKLAHOMA
Chipper said it best. Have mercy. Let those bench players play a lot.

#14 Texas (6-3) @Texas A&M (2-6) - TEXAS
Texas needs to win every game it can. Texas will go 10-6 in conference if they win every game they absolutely should win. To do better they must also win either @ Baylor, @ Tech, or at home against Okalahoma. This year, Tenneesse has to be just another game.

#16 Iowa State (4-5) @#9 Kansas State (8-1) - KANSAS ST

Oklahoma State (3-5) @#10 Baylor (5-3) - BAYLOR
Of course, Oklahoma State has shown the ability to make things interesting.

Missouri (3-5) @ Nebraska (2-6) - NEBRASKA
Missouri has been doing much more with less. I guess I think if Nebraska plays hard for at least 3/4 of the game, they should be able to win at home.

Sun, Feb 3:
#17 Colorado (6-3) @#13 Texas Tech (5-4) - Colorado
To me, the most interesting game of the weekend. Both teams have much to gain or lose in the real terms of conference position and in terms of momentum and outside perception.

Kansas @ Oklahoma
Oklahoma by a mile

#14 Texas (6-3) @Texas A&M (2-6)
Texas...but y'all better be careful, those Aggies will steal you blind and if they can beat ISU, they can beat you (or anyone)

#16 Iowa State (4-5) @#9 Kansas State (8-1)
KSU...homecourt advantage, the tide continues to roll

Oklahoma State (3-5) @#10 Baylor (5-3)
Baylor...homecourt advantage and OSU will not be able to contain Lambert

Missouri (3-5) @Nebraska (2-6)
Nebraska...yep Chipper I think they can do so

Sun, Feb 3:
#17 Colorado (6-3) @#13 Texas Tech (5-4)
Texas Tech...homecourt advantage is the difference, but it will be a tough game

...my colleages here at Tech think I'm nuts cause I've become a fan of a team that beat us (KSU), I've always been a Colorado fan (except when they play Tech) and I've now truly got nuts because I've become an Oklahoma fan (except when they're playing Tech or Colorado) and since I'm a KMR fan, I like Baylor too. They don't understand that I a) love basketball and especially wbb and b) that I've worked at a number of DI schools so I have a whole host of other teams I root for...cause they only like Tech.

Feb 2nd

Oklahoma over Kansas....OK!

Texas over A&M....there is no place like home, but even that won't help the Aggies.

Kansas State over Iowa State....KSU has it all, inside game, outside games, slashers, crashers, you name it!

Baylor over Oklahoma State....tough defense, at home, Danielle is due for a banner game. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Nebraska over Missouri....surely Nebraska will not turn the ball over as much as they did in Waco. I liked the physical play of Jones, as long as you can get away with it! Officiating was not too bad last night, only a few duds.

Feb 3rd

Texas Tech over Colorado....this should prove to be a really good game and I could see Colorado pulling this one out if their shooting percentage is up and their inside game is strong. The Lubbock crowd is tough on anyone.

Oklahoma - hmmmm, Sherri Coale mentioned that KU can be a dangerous team in times like these.....not today, OU's not overlooking anyobdy. Bench gets significant minutes, gotta rest the starters for the Baylor matchup on Tuesday; fresh legs required.

Texas - these longhorn gals gotta be tired but TAMU just doesn't have the offensive firepower to get the job done...not home, not away.

Iowa State - ok, I'm betting that double OT, extra night in Austin grinded a little on the youngcats........Iowa State owes 'em one, too. besides, ISU has a whole, whole lot to play for here on out.

Baylor - Oklahoma State's playing tough, they always do in February....if the game were in Stillwater, it might be a different game; Baylor can't afford to drop a home game and they don't.

Missouri - Missouri's on a 4 game slide, it's time to get off.
gotta win the one's you can.

Texas Tech - the lady raiders have their groove back, not gonna beat them in their house.

Feb 2:
Oklahoma State at Baylor---Cowgirls gave everything they had against OU...they will keep fighting but may be down a little for this game...Bears will not be down...they still feel like they have something to prove...Baylor over Oklahoma State

Iowa State at Kansas State---between 2OT and travel problems, if Wildcats aren't weary now, when will they be...for rested Cyclones this game is about pride...Iowa State over Kansas State

Kansas at Oklahoma---like Geno, Sherri is on vacation this weekend...Oklahoma over Kansas

Missouri at Nebraska---Tigers have had a reality check...may have lost some confidence...Huskers may lose heart on road...at home, it should beat loudly...Nebraska over Missouri

Texas at Texas A&M---Longhorns probably feel some urgency...Aggies probably see an opportunity...tough call here, don't want 'Horns hopping mad when they come to Lubbock so...Texas over Texas A&M

Feb3:
Colorado at Texas Tech---Buffaloes playing efficient offense...rebounding better...I'm nervous...critical home game for Raiders...hope they have some defensive problems solved...loyalty dictates...Texas Tech over Colorado

OU (duh)
Texas (possibility for an upset, but not likely)
ISU (gotta go with my home team)
Baylor (see Texas)
Missouri (I can't bring myself to pick Nebraska. You never know which Nebraska team will show up, although "the bad one" shows up more often than not)

Tech (I can't see CU winning this on the road)
