I noticed my three favorite letters (KSU) near the top a lot. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif

The only stat that KSU does not appear in the top 5 in is offensive rebounds. I guess I'll have to argue that they don't miss enough to leave a lot of offensive rebounds to snag. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

That good four letter word TAMU shows up in some hustle categories. The Blair project seems to be making an impact where it can.

Jimi

Are these your own stats? The stats from the Big 12 site look a bit different. I was just looking at these last night. http://big12sports.ocsn.com/sports/w-baskbl/stats/2003-2004/confldrs.html

Never mind...you said conference only, I just didn't read enough. Sorry.

Jimi, it sure is getting deep in here. However, it is never deep enough keep it coming. Go CATS!

Although I will add congratulations to Texas for getting another important #1.

Stats are only stats and other than the win/loss column they are never REAL important but they do give me some insight into generalities. They don't prove one team is better than another though. Various variables come into play including level of competition etc. That's why I look at Conference stats more than season stats, and why I don't get very excited early in the conference season. Mostly this topic could have been labled "Trash Talkin HoopScoop style for FUN with Stats" but the lable would have been too long. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

As the old saying goes, defense and rebounding win championships. Let's see, scoring defense - UT #1; rebounding margin - UT #1.

Oh, and AP poll - UT #1.

Oh, and Big XII standings - UT #1.

How's that for some trash? http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Is it possible that the stats (based on averages) could be a bit skewed since the leader of the pack has played one more game than the other top team(s) in the conference? Just wonderin'....no smack here.
