Jessica Berry, a point guard from Little Rock, Arkansas gave a verbal commitment to CU yesterday.
Sounds like she is a true point guard, and a very smart one at that. She was also considering Harvard and Princeton among other Big 12 and SEC schools.

I wonder if she will be part of the CU football team's "party circuit"? What a mess that is! I understand the governor of Colorado is looking into the recruiting party-problems.....or should I say potty-problems?

I know your comment was made in humor, but I am quite offended by it.
I don't know enough about the football scandal to comment however, Coach Barry's program is completely based on integrity and recruiting the person, not just the athlete, so believe me, there will be no such problems.
Please keep your criticisms to boards other than this one.

GoBuffs and all Hoopscoopers.....
this fan gives no credibility to statements that are being made and I suspect many Hoopscoopers feel likewise....
most especially in regards to this one, since we are a women's basketball board in the midst of a very highly competitive season for the Big XII this year..
The poster aggiegal has demonstrated once again with this post that nothing said by this person should be considered as credible.
I've never said this on this board before, but "aggiegal" is one person this board could do without.

Aggiegal is an imposter and agitator. Pay no mind to he/she/its posts.

Berry may well be the first commitment in what could be a great backcourt. The other half? Abby Waner, currently a junior guard at ThunderRidge HS in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Oh and there is already is a Waner on the Buffs' roster :-).
Abby was recently named the prep national player of the week when she averaged a triple-double. She's a shooting guard who is being recruited by everyone, including the Buffs.
What the Buffs may be focusing on now is recruiting a post player and point guard for next season, both areas where they will need to add depth next season.

Sorry if I offended....didn't mean to. Actually, I had just finished reading a big article about the CU "football scandal." Even the governor is getting involved. I did not mean anything in a negative way about the women's bb program. In fact, I think you've got a great, great coach and a very good team. The football problems are, however, part of the atlethic program, and the problems are nationally-stated and known. Too bad that it puts a black eye on the entire athletic department.
On a lighter note, good luck with MU today!
