Ohlde's dunk

Whilst perusing the KState web site I noticed that under the KU game quotes that Ohlde talks about a dunk attempt she took tonight. What was the situation...did she get the ball on a fast break or what? What was the crowd's reaction?

Nicole got the ball around the FT line on a fastbreak and had a great shot at the dunk. The ball went off the rim, but she was able to bring the rim down a little bit. I believe if she would have gotten another 10-15 feet to run at it she could have put it down. The crowd did the big ooh and ahh and gave her a good round of applause.

She just didn't decide on the dunk until the last instant. Coach P. said "I wish she had thought of it sooner. I know I did".

It was a clear break and no one was near her. I never heard a player get more of a cheer for missing a shot. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif As Nicole said "It was pretty weak".
