Great! I had to reshuffle some things around the home page to make more room for the pics - especially those out there with 15" monitors.

By the way, I'll be putting together a "photo gallery" of sorts soon. Thanks to Yahoo who archives all AP photos - a photogallery is now possible.

By the way, I must admit that I may be blind to how this website loads on other people's computers. I've got a 17" monitor and a cablemodem which can be a world of difference from a 15" monitor and a 56K modem. SO, if people find that the home page is taking too long to load or doesn't fit on the screen nicely for a 15" monitor - please let me know and I'll try to work the kinks out.

I'm jealous!

There's a huge, and I mean huge, difference between a 56K modem and the next step up to cablemodem or DSL. Speed increases nearly 100 fold. If anyone is thinking about getting cablemodem or DSL - you will see a trendmendous increase in speed and a lot less frustration on your part!

hmmmm, depending on whether I'm at home or work depends on whether I use DSL or 56K dial up, I have a 17" monitor at both places and I haven't noticed a huge difference or had a problem at either place.

I do most of my hoopscooping at work. At home, I've been lazily continuing with my regular phone modem and AOL. No More! I'm going home tonight and demanding a cable modem! The smaller screen at home, I don't mind.

At home I have 56K dial up and a smallish monitor, but don't have any problems. I am switching to DSL in a couple weeks and saying goodbye to AOL forever. My bf is rebuilding my computer and that should prevent those crashes that sometimes happen when surfing. Well, that and no longer having the &$#@ AOL software on my computer.
At work, big monitor, fast access.

My computer and I hate each other. I'm lucky if I can make it through the day without it freezing or crashing

We actually have 4 computers at home: the HP 750MHz Athlon we bought Sept. 2000 (which is our main computer), my web server which was my main computer through three years of college but now contains no original parts (not even the case or motherboard), the 486/33 I bought at an ISU sale for $20 a few years ago which my wife used through college, and a 386/25 laptop I bought at an ISU sale for $25 a couple of years ago for kicks. They are all networked and can access the internet through my SMC Barricade router.
