Well, it seems apparent based on record, RPI, and rankings, that Oklahoma is the best of the Big 12 (at least on most given nights), but in your opinion, who is second best OVERALL?...
Baylor? (win over Iowa St.)
Colorado?
Iowa St.?
Kansas St.? (Home wins = Bay, Col; Away wins = Ia St.)
Missouri?
Texas? (Home wins = Ia St, TTch; Away wins = Col)
Texas Tech?
I put them in alphabetical order so as not to offend...in my opinion right now, i would put texas, then texas tech...as much as it pains me to do so...but of course, we have much to play...
Go Lady Raiders!!

I'd have to agree that Texas is the 2nd best and Tech is close behind. I don't think there is much space between Texas and Tech and as the season goes on, Tech gets better. Hopefully my lady longhorns will improve at the same rate : )

ditto on Texas 2nd and Texas Tech 3rd.....
though if Texas Tech continues the way they have they could certainly contest that....and, I'm still not sure where to put Kansas State....I've wondered all year if their youth wouldn't hurt them deep in the Big 12, esp on the road...they still have to travel to Texas and Colorado, which I think will be tough games to win on the road....maybe, Missouri, that can sometimes be a tough place to play.

I have to vote for the Lady Raiders---just have a feeling they have acquired the "Sharper Image" and have redeveloped their chemistry to fit the TEAM. Just glad OU got 'em when they were still searching, at Lubbock. Just don't feel KSU will sustain for the long haul, particularly after the loss Saturday. That could be the chink in their confidence which might just halt their late game heroics. The Lady Longhorns are still trying to figure out what they are or who can help Stephens and Schreiber score enough to win. These are the top three #2 contenders.
Bottom line, this is a great conference with fun teams to watch and try to predict.

I think Texas has a better shot at finishing second than Tech. Tech plays OU on the road, UT gets OU at home. Both may lose but UT has the better shot at home, IMO. Tech has KSU on the road, UT has 'em at home. Tech must still play Colorado, Texas gets Kansas. And frankly, Tech and UT both have several tough games against Baylor, A&M & OSU, 3 teams which are certainly playing well enough to win any game on any given day.
So, KSU may have a better shot at runner up based on how their schedule sets up.
Tech would almost have to win the rest of their games to get 2nd, not impossible, but improbable.
