Another CU Injury

Now Veronica Johns Richardson is developing a stress fracture in her left foot and will not play Saturday against USC. This leaves CU with only 4 healthy players coming off of the bench.

I would rather see her play Saturday and then rest her for the Wyoming, Syracuse and Buffalo games, but CU is doing the opposite. Too bad, as VJ is from the Los Angeles area.

I'd rather see her rest Saturday and have her for Baylor and Kansas State, and I think THAT is their thinking.

So would I, Kate....but still I don't think CU will need her for the non-conference games right after Christmas (Wyoming, Syracuse and Buffalo).

No reason has been given for Melissa Hobbs leaving the team but this is rather ironic if it was for lack of playing time. With VJ sitting out for a while, Melissa would now have had a better chance of getting in games and showing what she could do.

I agree that it is disappointing for VJ not to get to play 'at home' this Saturday but I think she should be held out until the Baylor game if that will let the foot heal. I think GoBuffs is right that CU should not need her for the Wyoming, Syracuse and Buffalo games.
