Skibbe and Medders Big 12 POW

Oklahoma State's Trisha Skibbe was selected Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week and Iowa State's Lyndsey Medders was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week for games from Dec. 1-8, the conference office announced Monday.

Medders is representing well in most statistical categories in the Big 12. Through Dec. 7 she is 8th in scoring, 6th in fg %, 2nd in assists, 13th in FT %, and 11th in 3pt fg %. Great start for the ISU freshman!

cool! had a feeling medders would get some sort of an award this week. she has done a great job for us. amazing to watch her and think 'she's only a freshman!' am looking forward to many years of watching her run the show... =)

Congrats to Skibbe!! She is so silky smooth! She can score from every position. She's got a lot more help this year, and it looks like the team is starting to really come togehter. Hopefully, the Cowgirls will continue to improve... conference play is just around the corner.
