I just got an email from the ticket office. They wouldn't give me any specific numbers, but they said that tickets sales were going very well and that they also expected a large number of walk up sales as well. Cross your fingers!

They started mentioning the game during the sports on Channel 8 in Des Moines tonight, saying the push for fans is on. So I'm hoping it makes even a little difference in attendance. Considering the record from last season being fresh in the mind, I'd honestly be ok with anything over 10,000. Less than two days to go...

Hey Cyrox, I've seen some of your posts on other ISU boards. Curious what you thought of the changes on the football staff. Is it enough? I think he should totally clean house and start from scratch, but I'll take getting rid of Fine and Brickey as a good start.

hmm. well the posts on other boards weren't by me. guess someone else liked my name too. anyway, i'll take the two assistants leaving, but would rather see mccarney go himself. if you're gonna clean house, go from top to bottom. this is the most forgiving university in the country - to let a coach stay in his job for nine years and only win 38 games total (averaging just over 4 per year). anywhere else and he would have been gone long ago.

I liked the cartoon! I, for one, would be thrilled with a 9-3 coach three years removed from the national championship game! I guess I can always dream!
