When you look at the stats and check on the number of 3-pointers made, you naturally see the guards leading the pack. However; when you look at percentages on 3-pointers, the forwards rule! That is great!

Player, Pos, Attempts, Made, Percentage

*Trisha Skibbe, F/P, 18, 12, .667
Heather Schreiber, F, 56, 27, .482
Caton Hill, F/P, 46, 22, .478
Kristin Rethman, G/F, 75, 34, .453
Tracy Gahan, G/F, 95, 43, .453
Evan Unrau, F, 34, 15, .441

*Trisha Skibbe does not even show up on the Big 12 Web Site as the leader by percentage. I am assuming that the interactive stats are correct. I'm not very familiar with her this season.

I think it's cause she has only taken something like 8 in conference. Granted she has made 6 of those, but you have to attempt more than that.

Actually, Amber had been listed as a Guard/Forward in the past. This year she's a guard again. In High school though she played post, so there's another interesting fact. I typically see her as more of a forward because of her height and her ability to pull up for a jumper from about 10-15 ft. where she is almost as automatic as Jia Perkins from that range.

There may be a minimum threshold that Skibbe has not reached yet. In other words she hasn't taken enough attempts to be considered yet.

Unrau is not in the official stats either. The threshold may be 50 attempts so far for the season.

Hmmmmm, glad you posted this Zo3157.

By comparing Caton Hill's stats from what I have versus on the conference site, there is a discrepency down the line for Hill. I know that Hill and Ross consistently show up on the OU official stats as having played and started one less game than they should be. I thought maybe that the games played and games started data was all that was incorrect. But after doing some digging given that the Big 12 site has Hill for 25 of 50 from 3-point land and the OU official stats have her at 22 for 46, I've found that Oral Roberts game stats have not been included in the OU official stats for Hill or Ross. I will make this correction prior to the next Hoopla! session but not the current one - session 7.

Actually Tarr has started as a forward in two or three recent games...including the Baylor game. She swapped with Jackson at the ISU game and played the 4 some as well...found herself helping Ayers guard Welle.

Not to get complicated, but I never said Tarr didn't play other positions. I said she has been listed as a guard. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
