Chris or swok or anyone else...
do you know offhand where the wheelchair section is? I think we're taking my 4 year old nephew to the game tomorrow and will need a place to park him, and ideally we'll all be able to sit by him as well. I was going to be bringing a couple friends up from Dallas, but that all fell through, so it'll likely just be my dad, nephew, and I. I don't think my mom is into basketball since I don't play anymore!
Should I just call there and ask them-and who/what department would I call?

OK, I'm talking to my mom now and she said the weather is getting bad, possible ice and snow? Dang, if that's the case then I doubt I come.

If anyone else is driving up from the Dallas area, there's a really really good Mexican restaurant in Purcell (exit 91). We're meeting their for lunch. You can email me for specific directions; it's only about 1 mile off the interstate.

jennifer....I'm not sure where the wheelchair section is....though I think it is between the upper and lower sections...
they may have some on the floor this year. The elevator is located on the south side and brings you down to the tunnel where the players come out.....
I would call the women's basketball office and inquire.....
405-325-8322.
I'm not sure how far south the weather problems are going to travel, I almost thought we would strictly get rain and maybe some sleet......though the weatherman (if you can believe him) mentioned that the ground is very warm and should not stick to the roads and concrete surfaces.

Jennifer,

I know there is one wheelchair section on the west side of the lower level around the walkway. The elevator is located in the south end of the arena and it goes down to the lower level and exits right by a new concession stand and bathroom area. You turn right out of the elevator and enter the arena right above where the players come in.

Be safe!

Thanks for the replies.
I called the wbb office, got transferred to the ticket office, 10 minutes later spoke to a girl who said she didn't know where the wheelchair seating was specifically, but that there are several places around the arena, and was tranferred to Lloyd Noble. It's now 6 minutes later and I'm on hold and about to hang up!
I'll just use the info y'all provided and go from there. I was told that only one person can sit w/ him...which kind of sucks. I know he won't like that much. Oh well.

Up to about Pauls Valley (1 hour south of Norman), I'm thinking you should have no problems. It's sleeting at my house on the east side of Norman right now. We are just below freezing though, so if it warms up at all today the roads should be fine. It's going to be a tough call for the metro at just how bad it may get. Not expecting a lot of precip though. But with ice, it only takes a little.

Ice, snow, bad weather? Must be time for another Oklahoma home game!

I am not sure about locations or entrances, but most locales say only one person can sit there with him. In reality, many times there is available space and extra chairs for people not being used in that same area. I have done this many times at places and been lucky when with my wheelchaired mother. Just bet your party will be able to sit together.

That's what I'm hoping for...he is only 4 and doesn't understand "rules", so we may have a small problem if there isn't room. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

As for the weather, hopefully by noon there won't be any accumulation and the roads will be clear and I'll be fine.
