Saw that SG Trenisha Williams of Fort Worth committed to Okie State, and that SG Ashley Bolden of Ft. Bend Hightower committed to Texas A&M. Congrats!

Looks like OSU has two players in the Top 100. Sounds like Julie is doing some good.

Those are two good commitments. MOOOO wasn't Trenisha on Texas' list? I also heard Texas A&M received a committment from Patricia Reado from Houston who was on a lot of lists. Is there any truth to this?

fan26,

I hadn't heard about any mutual interest between Trenisha and Texas, but there might have been early.

As far as I know, we're still waiting on another shooting guard, Erneisha Bailey of KC, to make her decision; she should have one shortly after visiting Penn State this weekend.

Just a few quick things.

First of all, please don't refer to my school as Okie State (ugh). There are a few reasons.

First, you didn't mean anything by it, but Okie, by definition, is an insult. It was a slang term applied to people who moved west during the dust bowl, and it was meant to call people basically dumb rednecks, except it is worse than that. Also, you'll notice you NEVER hear OU called Okie U.

Secondly, though I honestly know nothing about these recruits, I can tell you that Cowgirl assistant Amy Williams (was Amy Gusso, she got married this summer) is supposed to be one of the best young recruiters in the country. The whole staff works VERY hard at recruiting, but she is the heavy hitter. It will be interesting to see how long they can hold on to her before she gets a head job.

Thanks MOOOO. Has Texas received any committments yet?
It seems that Texas A&M are getting some quality commitments. I have read somewhere that both of these young ladies where high on a lot of people lists and that Texas was looking a Reado a lot last year. Did she have a bad summer on the circuit, causing Texas to fall off?

I definitely remember Reado being on Texas' radar a while back; have no idea how much interest was expressed.

No commitments for Texas as of yet. We've gotten official visits from Erneisha Bailey, Candace Parker, and Essence Carson (verbal to Rutgers), and will have Charde Houston and Tye Jackson visiting October 31.

Seems like a very short list, so I hope we hit on 3 of them. With Anissa out for the year, but back for next year, our available 'ships are now 3 instead of 4, unless Jamie does not get another year of eligibility granted.
