How's that for a wierd topic line? The thing is, in a strange way they do connect. I have spent two days this week in a educational excercise on Bio-Terrorism. The expert faculty was from the Engineering Extension service of aTm. During a break I asked one of the senior staff how they got into this and it turns out that the A&M school of Engineering was very involved in the follow-up after the disastorous bonfire rally tradgedy at A&M. They subsequently worked hard on "Incident Command" procedures and other subjects related to disaster managment. The Aggies have little medical knowledge but they developed a lot of expertise in how to deal with disasters. As a result they have been contracted with to provide technical advice and training around the country including Kansas.
Maybe somthing good can come out of College Station after all. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif
Btw, the aTm staff in attendence did have enough knowledge of the wbb program to talk about it. They have hopes for the Aggie program improving and getting more university support. They believed that the coaching change was a positive move.
GO BIG 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
