Texas/OSU

Texas needed help from Kala Bowers and some reserves to keep the Longhorns unbeaten in Big 12 play.

In the front court - Stacy Stephens played only 19 minutes due to fouls but still managed 10 points and 10 rebounds. Tracy Cook had an off shooting night. Anissa Hastings came to the rescue with 11 boards, 7 points, and all out hustle.

At guard - Kala Bowers had a career high of 15 points and 6 rebounds. Alisha Sare came off the bench to provide 8 points in 8 minutes. Tai Dillard again provided quality minutes.

Kenya Larkin had 9 assists last night after an 11 assist performance on Sunday. It really helps a point guard's numbers when she has players on the floor who can shoot the ball!

OSU hasn't had much success against Texas since Jennifer Crow graduated but the Cowgirls always put up a fight.

Bottom Line - Texas is 5-0 to start conference, 2 games away from last year's conference win total. Keep it up Longhorns!

You are right....someone else is there to pick up when we get in foul trouble or having an off night. Our bench is DEEEEEEEEEEEEEPP!!! Did you hear about Mulkey getting ejected at the TT game. I watched the Baylor-OU game and saw how she consistently barked at the refs. She is a great coach but has to learn to control her emotions and not be a cheerleader. Going to the UT-OU game this Saturday.........Let's get another big win over a top 10 team.

It was GREAT to see Kala Bowers play well. I think she has had somewhat of a difficult time adjusting to the the 2 guard position. She looks to be an explosive scorer who has just not quite gotten comfortable yet. I see GREAT things for her though. As I stated earlier, I was somewhat critical of Coach Conradt earlier in the year, but now must retract all of that. I think she has done an EXCELLENT job incorporating everyone into the scheme and we are very very DEEP. Our program has been down for so long and sometimes we get frustrated. Looks like we are really coming together as a team and I don't think we have played anywhere near what we are capable as of yet. Oklahoma will be interesting. I will be there. Go Lady Horns.
