Has TT ever lost four in a row in conference play? Baylor will be hard pressed to get a win in Lubbock.
I've been reading in recent posts that Techs inside game is suffering, but I have not seen them play since the Duke game on TV. I thought BU had the right stuff in the paint to pull out a win against OU, but they faltered down the stretch. I look for it to be a good game.

Well...actually Tech picked up their post play yesterday against TTU. IMHO Tech will be more fired up for this game than BU will but that's just what I think. Cisti had 15 and 5 yesterday while Jolee had 11 points I think. If Tech can get it going both inside and out then this game will go to them. The crowd factor will be big unlike it was to OU. There will be 13,000 fans yelling for their LR and supporting them 100%.

Tech's Post offensive play has come around. But defensive play is not as good as the offensive play. Defensively, TTU couldn't match up with Stephens. Baylor's Crockrom is probably not as strong as Stephens, but she is much quicker. Will be interesting to see if Tech can limit Crockrom's touches and ultimately her points. Also, Baylor has become much better defensively in the paint this year. They really shut OU down for a while in that game. Will be interesting to see if Baylor can utilize it's quickness with Crockrom and Blackmon to shut down Greenwalt and Ellison and whoever else inside.

Our post play has been inconsistent. But frankly at this point, I'd rather have Ayers and Greenwalt and Ellison. One of Pierson's problems was her tendency to hang onto the ball when she was double and triple teamed instead of kicking the ball out to her team. I seldom see that from our current post players. I thought our posts played much better against Texas.
I would disagree about the defensive play. It was pretty impressive in the first half against Texas and the 2nd half against OU. Again, it has been inconsistent. I think our foul situation caused some hesitation against Stephens. Jolee will muscle around with anyone, but Cisti is still learning to deal with the physical part. I imagine the Lady Raiders are shooting FTs in their sleep...that has been one of our biggest problems all year and continues to affect the outcome of the games. Against OU...if they had made 1/2 of just what they missed, the game would have been within 4 or 5 points.
Baylor should be a lot of fun. Crockrom is a joy to watch and I was impressed with Blackmon too. Baylor will bring a lot of passion and desire to this game. I still remember the buzzer beater against Baylor two years ago in Waco when Dickerson knocked down a huge shot to win the game by 1 or 2 points. It will be fun to watch Lambert and Perkins or Lambert and White battle each other.

....oh what a heart-breaker that was. The TT crowd in Waco was impressive. Baylor was not accustomed to large crowds. I remember sitting next to Tech fans and when the attendance of over 7000 was announced as one of the largest crowds ever to watch a Baylor game, they laughed. Deservedly so. Great attendance around the league now, and growing.
